First time installer and it was a piece of cake. Love the Fleck systems.
My elderly father wanted to replace his water softener which had just hit 20 years. I recommended a Fleck 5600 since I have one in my home. After shopping around, I located a Fleck system from Aplus Water LLC on Amazon for a very reasonable price. Read a few reviews for the company and ordered the system for my dad. This was the first time my dad and I ever installed a water softener, but it worked out very well. Fairly easy install, good equipment, and all the necessary directions. The system was exactly as described and arrived on time. Thank you Aplus Water LLC!

Just do it!
I thought and thought on buying this for several weeks after MULTIPLE attempts to get another softener from a large US retailer whose name will remain unmentioned( but it starts with SAM) shipped to me in one piece. It literally arrived in multiple pieces TWICE. Anyway, I knew fleck was a good name and parts are readily available (but i doubt you'll need them for a long time). This unit was purchased for my mom, replacing a 30 year old FLECK unit that was no longer repairable. This unit is GREAT. Went in like a dream, works great, CAME IN ONE PIECE, and when I did have a quick question on the install they answered immediately. GREAT experience all the way around. I will be buying another for myself once I save up the bucks as mine is pushing 30 years. I live in the country, on a well, and it's the old 'run on a schedule whether you need it or not'. This new one with the ondemand regen AND the manual valve I'm sure will last me as long as I need it to. Great product, great supplier... can't go wrong. Don't buy a cheaper one from the big box store... you'll regret it in short order

Great investment!
This has been amazing. Our water taste so good. Our appliances have no build up. We are outside city limits with bad hard water deposits. This has been life changing. A++. Our water is so filtered and soft now. Used with water filter connected and filter in kitchen. Really helps longevity of washer, dishwasher, and keeps bath and toilet cleaner longer because no build up. Also rinses soap off cleaner when bathing.

Easy install, big saving, works fine so far.
The actual instal was easy. I had to do a great deal of soldering and adding pipes but if I had a pre plumbed setup like most people have it would literally only have taken less than an hour to install. It does it's job fine but I hate the taste and feel of softened water so the flavor rating is only because it tastes as it's supposed to. This was a $1900 savings over getting a local business to install their equipment. Great deal if you have skills.

Great product and customer service!
The unit was easy to put together. YouTube video from APlus was very helpful. I replaced a Culligan Mark 100, and saved a lot of money with the 5600 Econominder. I had to have a plumber reorient my pipes. Old setup did not have enough room on copper pipe to use Sharkbites. I had a question on install and setting the meter. APlus got back to me quickly and I completed setup of unit. Would have given 5 stars if setting the meter had been easier. But overall very satisfied with this softener. I have soft water again!

Arrived non-functional out of the box
This unit is easy to install with the help of youtube and basic plumbing knowledge. The unit works great as a softener, however after owing this unit for more than 2 years it has never once started a cycle on its own. I have had to manually start the regen cycle every time I noticed the water getting hard. Not sure if this is a mechanical meter issue or an issue in the control unit.

From a water softner expert.
This is the best and most affordable water softner on the market. This unit will far outlast most appliances if installed and cared for properly. Mechanical controls last longer than circuit boards. It's a simple 3 step, 2 hour process, of back wash, salt rinse and salt refill. You should only regenerate when water is not being used. A 48,000 grain unit should be set for around 1000 gallons per regen. Based on average of 25 hardness and 2 parts iron. DO NOT USE PELLET SALT. Use crystal, solar or other fine granular salt so it will devolve properly and not cake up your salt tank. Hard or Soft water is not drinking water its about the same as a puddle in your yard. Water must be purified with reverse osmosis systems in order to remove the dissolved solids and be considered healthy water.

It works; fantastic customer service!
Excellent performance. At first there were two weeks that my water didn’t get soft. I thought it was something bad with the softener. The problem was the valves come set to bypass the softener. So after I fixed that, I was able to get great soft water for about a month (this is a house we hadn't lived in full-time so the settings were different). After moving in full-time, I did not change the settings but the water got hard again. I contacted the seller through Amazon and he called me and walked me through the steps to get it right. As it turned out, I simply forgot to adjust settings after moving into the house full-time. The seller even sends you links to YouTube videos on how to do everything. Not only would I recommend this seller and product, but I am recommending this softener (and seller) to my parents. I'm very pleased.
