Best Pillow EVER!!!! Very necessary for car trips as passenger and driver!
I bought this mastectomy pillow after seeing many reviews on You Tube. It is soft and plush on the outside, comfortable and huggable, not firm, and protects you while you are a passenger in a car, going over bumps and crevices in the road and sudden stops and goes, not to mention swerves. I could not imagine having an accident and bursting open all my incisions with just a seat belt! This pillow gave me comfort and a sense of security! It fits under the seatbelt and protects your tender skin from the seat belt as well as allowing you to hug yourself for more support going over speed bumps etc.I also wore this pillow into Dr. appointments and in stores for 4 weeks (you can drive yourself after 2-3 weeks). People gave me a wide birth, did not laugh or make fun of me, they were curious and I gladly explained my condition. I learned heart surgery patients have a similar pillow. Several people thought it was a great pillow purse. When you first start going out you still walk very slowly as to not jiggle and this pillow helps provide more support by allowing you to hug yourself. It gives you comfort that you are protected if someone bumps you. I love the pockets. The ad suggested the inner pockets would be used for ice packs, but in my case my Dr. did not want me using ice. I used it for storing my keys, sunglasses, phone, paperwork, etc. Love the pockets! Love the plush soft texture and just love the color! The adjustable straps will allow it to fit anyone. I'm 5-3" and weigh 170. I was concerned at first about it not having a belt closure on the back, but after wearing it, it was definitely not necessary and I would have left it open most of the time anyway for convenience! I love this pillow and you will too!

Great for after breast surgery
I used this pillow after my breast reduction surgery. It was very comfortable, with extended side areas that go under your arms. The strap goes from the front on one side, across the shoulder, and attaches to the side area on the opposite side of the pillow, making it easy to walk around or lay in bed with the pillow staying in place. There is a quick-release clasp on the strap in front so you don't have to lift the strap over your head. It also has pockets to hold a phone or cold packs. The pillow is thoughtfully designed and very practical. I felt safe and protected while I had it on.

A must-have for post-mastectomy patients!
This post-mastectomy pillow was very helpful after my single mastectomy! It's incredibly soft, and comfy, and the pockets on it really come in handy! It's very lightweight, very good quality, a great value, and easy to use!

Great pillow but it’s use is limited with reconstruction patients
Don’t get me wrong, I love this pillow and I’m laying on it as I write this, but I never considered that I wouldn’t be able to have anything lay on my chest after my surgery. If you’ve just had a mastectomy, it’s perfect. Especially with the pockets for ice packs or anything else you need to keep close to you. But if you’ve had a mastectomy with reconstruction, you won’t be able to use this pillow the way it’s intended while resting. The most important way I found myself using this was in the car so the seatbelt doesn’t hurt, which is a huge bonus. It’s very soft, adjustable and easy to clean. I still don’t regret getting it because hey, when you go through a surgery like this and have to sleep in a very fixed position for weeks to months, you can never have too many pillows!

Good product, but I didn't need it.
This product is soft, the pockets are convenient and the pillow is not too thin or thick. BUT after my double mastectomy my doctor didn't want anything, even a light pillow, rested on my chest. I didn't wear a seatbelt home, and honestly I don't even notice a seatbelt now two weeks after surgery. i use it now to prop my arm up when i'm sleeping on an incline to help my shoulder. It's a good product. But if money is tight or if you're the type of person (like me) who wants to avoid unneeded purchases, I would at the very least ask your doctor if they recommend (or will even let you use) a mastectomy pillow in advance.

My favorite purchase for my mastectomy recovery
This pillow is so comforting for after mastectomy. It gives gentle, comforting pressure against my healing chest and it protects me as I walk around my house. It protects enough that I can give and receive hugs from loved ones! I used all of the time except for bathing! I even slept in it!

Perfect for me
I ordered this shortly before I had breast cancer surgery, bilateral mastectomy with sentinel node removed and immediate reconstruction. I had read reviews and hoped it would work for me. During my post-op recovery I slept upright in a power recliner for several weeks. I was able to slip this on my front and wear it as added protection to my chest and right armpit. The adjustable button strap has several different button holes. So it can be buttoned where you want it in order to give you a way to fit it to where you want it to sit or lay. I have a very persistent 20 year old Maine Coon cat and she always wants to be either on my chest, shoulder, or neck so this gave me a barrier so she wasn't able to step directly on my tender areas. It worked out great. My cat was really annoyed by how well it worked. So she had to just sleep in my lap or on the arms of the chair instead. LOL! I love the fun stripe and color and how soft this is. Now I'm healing I put the matching zip up pillow cover on it and tucked the arm pieces so it's more like a long sliver shape. So I continue to use it a long pillow, and just use it laying across my chest with my arms on it and my ipad sitting on it.
