I bought this Dr. Beckmann Washing Machine Cleaner to end a long-standing household feud over whether the washing machine smelled bad. Personally, I couldn’t smell a thing—but my other half (a self-proclaimed ‘supersniffer’) insisted the washing stank no matter what we tried. We’d used various brands and home remedies, but nothing worked—until this!After one use, the complaints stopped. I have this on Amazon's Subscribe & Save so I know how often to use it.My cleaning routing is1. empty the filter at the bottom, clean out gunk / coins2. use HG Mould Spray if I have any black mould (you get this from soft water / low temps)3. clean out the drawer and then add this to the drawer. I wipe a bit around the rubber door seal too4. put on a 60c washIf you do this regularly, your machine will stay nice and clean. Mine is about 15 years old now and still looks good.

Great item, really does work well

Bought these as I thought I was getting Ocean Fresh as advertised, however Original was delivered. It does work well, but the scent is not as pleasant as the ocean fresh one and smells too chemically. I will be using them, but will look elsewhere to buy the ocean fresh ones next time as I believe they are the newer version anyway.

First class in all respects. Some reviews mention shaking the bottle or using half a bottle. The label on the bottle simply says use 10ml on a sponge to clean the outside of the machine and pour the remainder into the detergent drawer. Use a standard 60 degree wash without laundry. Great results but remember you may need to run a drain cycle afterwards. If (like me) you didn't set a programme with a spin cycle there will still be water in the drum. It WILL fill the drum with foam, but don't panic. That's what it is supposed to do. Recommended.

Seems to help the washing machine. However, the price is not competitive and can’t really be justified because there are many others where you may be able to purchase for a pound and will last for a few times this one on the other hand only use once.
