wish this stuff was cheaper, but when you see how much sigma sells it for, you can't help but be glad. great for about a hundred things around the lab. apparently it's made from polyefins which is a hydrocarbon based polymer. can withstand days of contact with all the common concentrated mineral acids. using it effectively definitely requires a bit of experience. remember that it stretches more sideways than lengthwise so that should be the last direction it stretches in. also, stretch it around the lip of the container before pulling it over to make it easier to use on larger containers like 1L beakers.

I watched a video on using this stuff to wrap the necks of multiple whisky bottles and had to try it. It’s not cheap but it is amazing stuff and will wrap A LOT of bottles.

Far better and flexible for sealing products air tight, as this roll should last be a very long time.

Perfect for sealing petri dishes, agar slants and liquid culture jars. A must have for any mycologist.
