Looks good
The ink was purchased as a standby. I have not had to use it yet. Will know about quality when it is installed on my printer.

PRODUCT SEEMS FINE THUS FAR
I have only used this cartridge for a short time, but thus far it seems fine.Color quality is good. Four stars assigned pending an upgrade to 5 star if no problems are encountered. I'm admittedly being conservative.I'll repost an addendum if I can offer anything further.

Standard cartridge
The OEM cartridge came as described. Works as it should. The only caveat with all toner and inkjet cartridge is that the price makes it probably the most expensive liquid on the planet. Even with shipping the cost was good compared with other adds.

CROOKS SELLING TRASH - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER, "ASHBY STORE"!!!
MY POOR RATING HERE IS NOT FOR HP INK CARTRIDGES, BUT RATHER FOR MY PURCHASE OF THE HP78XL CARTRIDGE THROUGH ASHBY STORE AND FULFILLED BY AMAZON.I am one of Amazon's biggest fans... I believe they generally have the best prices and service around. As a result, I buy just about everything I possibly can through Amazon.com. However, this was definitely the WORST purchase I have ever had through Amazon! This seller, Ashby Store, is quite clearly one of the very worst. The Hewlett Packard HP78XL tri-color ink cartridge I bought from them, fulfilled by Amazon, was absolute JUNK! To begin with, the Amazon packaging box was in perfect condition, but the HP box was very beat up and looked old. On top of that, the HP box was clearly intended to be sold only in a Spanish-speaking country, as it was primarily in Spanish, listed HP as the "Exportador" and listed three different Argentinian, Brazilian, and Mexican companies for which it was "Importado".The area of the HP box that states the Warranty End Date had that end date carefully and suspiciously covered by a professional-looking sticker identifying the cartridge and stating it was new. The HP box, which looked as though it might have been previously opened and then resealed, contained the usual inner white thin cardboard enclosure that holds the cartridge, and that white enclosure also looked as though it might have been previously opened. Once I took the cartridge completely out of all packaging, the sticker that usually covers the inkjet outlets had ink that had leaked onto it. Further, the warranty end date printed on the cartridge itself was "20130311", which translates to March 11, 2013 and means the cartridge I received on 01/29/2014 was more than ten months beyond its warranty expiration date while still being sold at a $60 retail price.Just to be sure of my suspicions, I went ahead and installed the cartridge in my printer and then attempted to do the usual printer alignment. The page that was "printed" barely had a mark on it, and the printer was telling me to try to do another alignment page. Instead I tried the printer's "clean cartridge" maintenance function, but again got very poor results with only about 5-10% of the usual coverage. That was enough for me.I was desperate to replace the old, empty HP78XL cartridge that was in my printer, so I got a Staples coupon for 15% off and paid $56.94 for it, even less than what I paid through Amazon. After installing that new HP78XL cartridge from Staples, my printer worked perfectly. The only positive THING I can relate about this experience was Amazon's excellent customer service. I called them and was immediately issued a refund along with having them set up a free pickup of the WORTHLESS junk cartridge by UPS.IF I COULD RATE "ASHBY STORE" AND THIS PURCHASE WITH FIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD DO SO, BUT THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE. THE WORST THEY CAN RECEIVE IT ONE STAR, SO THAT'S WHAT THEY GOT!

Bought directly from vendor Amazon.com
I have used the cheap route to buy cartridges. The refilled and repackaged. The cartridges auctioned on the bay, which are usually way out of date (most deals on geniune HP cartridges are out of date). I've had horrible luck with the "cheap" route in the last year. I finally decided either to buy directly from HP or Amazon directly (not a third party vendor after reading the reviews about bad cartridges listed for this item). The cartridge I bought from Amazon directly (was $4 higher than a third party vendor) has an expiration date of 09/2013. When I put it in my printer, it printed like brand new. There are no more horizontal lines in the pictures - no more fuzzy pictures.Lesson learned: In all the time and aggravation I have spent dealing with cartridges, I have lost money going the cheap route. From now on, I'll buy from a company I know does not carry out of date products.

Hard to find Color Cartridge
Recently realized that a lot of stores no longer carried this cartridge number, nor reflected the G85xi printer model in their compatibility chart. Purchased the extra large cartridge to maximize the life of the old printer/copier/fax/scanner before having to buy a new one. Amazon led me to the supplier who had these. It is compatible with my device and works fine. The price was cheaper than buying 2 std cartridges. Most important factors on a hard to find product are: availability and compatibility. This will help keep an old and reliable system working until a new one can be acquired.

HP ink cartridge, 78XL
Customer Service is outstanding!!! I had a problem with an ink cartridge that I had purchased from ONGO and ONGO went out of its way to contact me and promptly resolve the issue. I am absolutely shocked that this type of high quality customer service still exists in today's world where profits appear to be more important than people. ONGO is making good on it promise to replace the cartridge and reverse charges. I recommend ONGO to anyone who needs to make a purchase of anything it carries. The best customer service I've experienced in years!

Way too expensive
These things have gotten WAY too expensive but what can you do?Do not try to use the bargain priced cartridges because they either don't work or are beyond their shelf life if you pay attention to the expiration date. You would think that for this price they would at least last a while but NO. I feel like I'm being held hostage to my printer!

One Star
Sent the cartridge back as it was faulty. The ink had dried up.

The ink has expired - only the magenta worked, ...
The ink has expired - only the magenta worked, not cyan and yellow. There was a sticker on the pack and when I peeled it back it said the WARANTEE expired in Dec 2015 - I bought it "new" in July 2016. In future I will only buy when I can see the package first.

Ink cartridge delivered in December had expired in April 2017
This product arrived showing it had expired Apr. 2017. I just installed it yesterday and found the performance completely unsatisfactory.
