5 Band Equalizer Bluetooth EQ Preamp for Home Stereo/Computer Speaker/Amplifier with VU Meter (EQ5 Tone Upgraded Version)

Really like Douk,,, Got this equalizer to go with my Douk X1 Valve pre-amp. I suppose what sets it off are those channel VU meters that give it that real nice look. It is not that big but is very solid and heavy and is well made. The 5 channel bands give plenty of response. Yes you can get units with 30+ bands but you may then spend your time making continuous adjustments... For a large majority of people then 5 band is quite sufficient. I did get this with my vinyl collection in mind to boost or flatten some of the ranges but I found it especially useful if I am playing MP3 files and as those files are of a lesser quality then the equalizer really helps to coax some life into them. Don't think you'll be disappointed!

I use two of these for the 2 pairs of hifi speakers, mostly for the EQ balance so I don't disturb the neighbours at night. The VU meters are very responsive, although I would recommend recalibrating out of the box with the included screwdriver.

Wanted to add a bit more bass and colour to my vynil. Put this inline before the main amp, and it makes a big difference. The pass through it great to show the difference or revert back to normal levels. It's perfect for my setup and the usb power means when the amp powers up it powers this pre amp also, so no need to turn it on and off. Perfect and great value.

Worked fine for a few months then developed interference on both channels - disappointing

I have only plugged this in and listened for about 30 minutes so far, these are my first impressions. I am using as a pre amp for a quad 405 with pmc speakers. The Vu's are a nice touch but could do. with being a little faster, the build quality seems to be quite nice and its a tidy little box. The volume control and all controls feel cheap but perfectly good for the price. Eq controls function but are not particularly pleasant sounding, I would use to cut frequencies only, not to boost. My big complaint is the Eq/pass switch that just should not be on the front of the box and should be a slider on the back. I switched it down and hey presto full uncontrolled 100 watts pumping out and distorting my speakers. I thought it would bypass the eq but didnt expect it to bypass the volume too. For this reason I cant recommend this as a preamp for anyone with small children around. One little push of that and your hifi is cooked. If this is purchased for a private little listening station it will surely be a good little thing with some pretty little vu meters. The noise levels seemed good and the box actually functions better than I expected,

I got this to go between a Topping DAC and a little bear one headphones amp. The output from the Dac is a bit lacking in Bass and this sorts that out. Nice it doesn't inject any noise into the system. Overall a good buy.

...however VU indicators don't work in the one that I have received today. I've tried bluetooth connection with my smartphone, AUX to to RCA on my phone and bluetooth from my projector, none of the ababove brought VU indicators to live. The other think is the output quality. In the bypass mode is superior, but at the moment of switching into equalizer mode, quality drops significantly. I've got this device to enhance dialogues in Netflix movies, which it does and quality is acceptable as long as my shelf speakers are over 2 meters away from me. Overall I'm not happy with my choice.

Uitstekende toonregeling. Ik heb hem als BT ontvanger en als equalizer tussen mijn draaitafel en de actieve speakerset. Dit icm een Douk Audio pre-amp. De diverse frequentiebanden zijn goed instelbaar. De metertjes zijn een leuke bijkomstigheid als je van retro houdt.
