Received on time bust just opened. It works well with our local c02 cylinder purchased separately. At first I wondered its compatibility due to quick twist label, but it refers to the bottle not cylinder type. The description was not clear.It worked well in first few days but the lock twist mechanism started to have problem just after few refills. It just cannot hold the refill bottle and the water just burst when pump gas into it

Super easy to use and get me sparkling water at about as cheaply as possible without needing electronics. I've sparkled about 50L so far without any issues when I use it. Somehow when a buddy uses it he manages to make water leak out of the support column, but I have never been able to do that myself. So maybe keep a towel on hand to wipe water from the counter. The system will make a vibrating buzzing noise to indicate stop carbonating. You can press down (and hold) for up to three times to get the desired bubbles.If you haven't used something like this before, you'll want to over-carbonate the water if you plan to use flavoring syrup in it as that will pull some carbonation out of the water. Darker sodas seam to do that more so than clear or citrus sodas oddly (but that has nothing to do with the actual carbonation system used).This DOES NOT come with a CO2 canister, but when I got it, it was still the cheapest option when purchasing canisters separately to this than systems that include the first canister.

Worked well for a short time. But after less than 4 months, the gas started leaking when I was trying to carbonate the bottles. You could hear it leaking and feel the cold. And it took much longer to carbonate the bottle. This is my second Phillips soda maker. My first one had a similar issue and I had to replace it. Something happens to the seals or the cheap plastic construction, and it bleeds out the CO2 from the gas canister, so it's also costing more money with the gas it wastes. Try a better product.

After buying one from 2 other listings finally this one is actually a screw on bottle type. The quick twist version of this machine has no replacement bottles (which apparently you're supposed to replace monthly)This version works great with my extra bottles, and the amount of carbonation is pretty good, i̶t̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶i̶n̶i̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶i̶t̶t̶l̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶o̶o̶m̶p̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶.̶ ̶I̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶t̶a̶l̶l̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶n̶ ̶I̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶e̶c̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶e̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶.̶I was simply using it wrong. I wasn't pressing the button long enough or waiting in between presses, if you hold it 1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi 3 then wait like 1-2 seconds then do that another 2 times it comes out absolutely perfect. When pouring in syrup you have to cap it quick or the CO2 tries to escape really fast.

Replaced my Soda Stream fizzi one touch with this -- I'm pleasantly surprised. Watching the costs of carbonating machines continually rising was depressing. So was a life without bubbles ... But then I found this! It's a manually operated fizzer (no electricity, just a button to release the CO2 from the tank and into your water). My SS Co2 cylinders work on this new machine. The bottles don't. Philips has a propietary "twist" type bottle, so you will have to buy some if you want to keep more on hand than the one provided. I'm happy with this as a replacement. It's half the price it would have cost to replace the SS, so I feel like I'm already ahead!

I love it, but it lost its seal after 8 months, so... IDK, decide if that's worth it to you.
