Great reproduction of the most popular/common pattern (1st pattern) of American Fatigue Jacket in use during the Vietnam War, which were originally issued to Special Forces. These jackets are made from a lightweight 100% cotton, and are very good copies of the originals which should not disappoint any re-enactor. Each jacket features: 4 patch pockets with exposed button down flaps Chest pockets with rear pen holders Epaulettes Waist take in tabs Button adjustable cuffs Each jacket comes with a pre-sewn name tag (in the name of Ryan) the US army tag and sleeve patch for the 1st Air Cavalry.

Fantastic reproduction
I am very impressed with the quality of this reproduction type-1 jungle shirt (this is not an authentic version). Some features;Gusseted cuffs, waist tabs, gas flap, poplin non-ripstop.The patches are ok but not authentic but that being said it is a great deal at a great price. Highly recommended.

Very nice shirt, very tight
Since I watched many films about the Vietnam war, I have been fond of the military uniforms of the Vietnam war. After searching for a long time on the Internet, I finally found the products of this brand, which are very good and basically have little difference from the original ones. If you are willing to choose some chapters of the Vietnam war as I did, you can do a better job in restoring the very good products and recommend them to you without regret.

'64 Vietnam jungle jacket
Package arrived early from UK. Quality is impeccable, stitching is awesome and IS Cotton, not nylon or poly combo. Name tape is as you see in pic for item, just put one of my old ones on in place of it. Fit was right on for US sizing and was accurate from what I remember seeing from my dads stuff from Vietnam. I wear this coat all the time and love it! Will definitely buy from vendor again if I don't buy another one of these just because I love the fit and quality.

Very Good Quality Reproduction
This is nearly identical to the one issued to GI's during the Vietnam War. Was very pleased with it. The reason why I didn't give it five stars is that I had to cut the 1st Cav patch and Name Tag off to sew on my original patches of the units I served in as well as my own Name tag on.

Just Awesome
This jacket is made in Germany, not Asia, nor anywhere. Some people complaining about the patches, the patches are nice. 100% cotton, perfect for Florida's heat. I ordered XL and fixed me right in, I'm 5'8, 182 lb. Nice jacket I recommend it.

One of the best repros on the market!
This is incredible. It's not exactly like the real deal but it's the closest repro that I've seen. I have had others from Rothco and other repro companies for non-reenactors and they all come up short compared to this gem. I'll be buying more as I am able to and encourage anyone else looking for a high quality repro of the classic design to consider this as well. shipping was also very fast from the UK.

As authentic as it gets
I’m 50, my older brother served in 1966. This uniform same his. As accurate as it gets. MilTec just one of the best suppliers out there. I can barely tell the difference between this and my brothers sitting side by side

The fabric is pretty thin, the seams as well
Well...Its colour is totally different than in the presentation. I mean it looks as brand new...much newer than the fatigue shown jacket.Perhaps after some rounds of rain washing and sun exposure, being made of 100% cotton (REALLY !) it might be / look as the one displayed. In the rest / as for me I could name it based on how it has been made, an Economy made US Army Vietnam Era TROPICAL JUNGLE JACKET.The fabric is pretty thin, the seams as well, being a typical holidays jacket for the holidays makers. I doubt that the pockets as they are, could be loaded with hand grenades and ammo clips. On the other hand, the pockets are extremely large, the lower ones offering generous space for sheltering the fists inside. For my great delight, the upper / chest pockets, as they are, looks pretty much identical to the ones attached on the jump jackets worn by the US paratroopers during WW2.Even the thread is very, very thin, this time I do not need to reinforce the seams of the buttons as I have previously done at US M1941 and US M1943 Field Jacket reproductions made by (the same) STURM Mil-Tec supplier. As a matter of fact, the buttons are the only item at this jacket that look old...The patches are made by polyester, not cotton as originally ones. Having in sight how much thin the fabric is, I do not dare to take the scissors or even a thin and sharp blade in order to remove ANY of the patches.I could easily cut the jacket beside the patches even my hands do not tremble shaken. The inner labels are well positioned reminding the owner / viewer who the ancestor of this jacket was.As a conclusion, this jacket how it has been / has been made is worth the money ! I would have been sorry to spend more money on this jacket, ordering it elsewhere.Sincere congratulations to RECON Company for having available this jacket at such affordable cost, not mentioning the shipping cost ! !A last fact, the size is all right, XL both in the length of the sleeves and the jacket. The supplier has dispatched the jacket promptly, proving me they are fully reliable.

Charlie don’t surf...
Very impressed by the quality & detail of this repro Vietnam era 1st pattern combat jacket. I’m 6’6” 44” chest 36’ waist & 97kg & it looks great. The XL was probably more like they were worn in tropical combat, but the L is better for leisure wear IMO.My wife liked the L better & said the L looked more like a shirt, & the XL more like a jacket.Quality of stitching, buttons & cotton are really excellent. Seems made to last.Be careful, it’s a jungle out there...

Authentic jacket which fits me perfectly. I will be layering this so the large size is perfect. I'm 5'8" and 40 chest but as I will wear waistcoat and jacket underneath decided after the reviews to go a size up. Hope this is of help

Boony rats, Boony rats...
For the price, you really can't go wrong. I removed all the patches from mine, faded it out in direct sunlight and got some original buttons on ebay to replace the light matt repro ones on the jacket. Slowly replacing the buttons and it's starting to really look good.
