Nice yarn to work with
This is a very nice yarn. I am knitting a shawl. Softness is good. It's not hard like some Acrylic Yarn. Comes in multi colors and they are vibrant... Nice yarn for the cost. I would buy again.

Love the variegation
The purple shades in this re gorgeous! Used this to make a corner-2-corner blanket and it turned out beautifully! The delivery was quick and seamless. The thickness is perfect and did not experience any splitting.this worked up so well and the yarn was soft.

Quality product
This yarn is soft and thick and the colors pop, no blotchy spots in the dye or knots. Used a "I" hook and finished a king sized Afghan with 4 of these big cakes. Definitely will buy again for next project.

Somewhat uneven color and texture
I crocheted an Afghan that called for two Caron Big Cakes, so I bought two in toffee brickle. The first big cake was great, very proportional and pleasant variegation, only one knot, and uniform texture otherwise. The speckling was fun and whimsical without looking accidental. The second cake was a different story. It started out okay, and to continue my striping I had to do a little of my own cutting, which was easy to hide on this afghan, but soon the color pools were all out of whack, and color transitions were abrupt rather Han thoughtfully blended. Next came the knots - 4 in the second half, and I still had to work in the yarn I had trimmed off at the beginning. Finally at one knot the yarn suddenly became thin and stiff, as though it had been over saturated with dye. That persisted for longer than I desired, but I hope it will sort itself out with washing. You can’t even tell by looking at the finished product, but it just didn’t feel good in hand. I’m pleased enough to make one for each of my young daughters, but would probably look elsewhere for making a special gift for an adult.

Lovely yarn
Caron yarn is always great to work with. It’s soft and doesn’t spilt often. This one is especially nice because the colors change for you. No need to weave in ends. The transitions to other colors is quite sudden. So, if you’re looking for a smooth transition this probably isn’t the right choice for your project.

I LOVE THIS YARN
This yarn was really nice quality and I didn’t need to many skeins to finish my project since they are so big.
