Easy installation and works GREAT! Buy a better Seat too!!!
Strongly recommend this addition to the Schwinn AD2 and you might also buy a more comfortable seat as we found the stock seat quite uncomfortable. The AD2 otherwise is a good piece of equipment for the price and will provide many years of exercise. Each user can modify their own pace and the harder you pedal the more calories you burn due to the increased resistance of the air wheel as the speed picks up. And the bike is not too big and easy to push into the closet or a corner of the room after use. I put some stick on furniture pads on the feet so it slides on the hardwood easily.

invaluable product!
I am thrilled to have placed an ergonomic and cushy bike seat onto my exercise bike, thanks to this adapter. I had a big surgery that included reconfiguring my pelvis; now that my bones are mostly healed, I need to regain strength with the help of my stationary bike. And wow, the seat that came with my bike was uncomfortable! I selected a nice comfy bike saddle but needed exactly this product to be able to attach it. Attaching the adapter wasn't hard, but did take me a little time to make fitting adjustments. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to whomever invented and made this unique item, totally appreciate the convenience and comfort it affords me.

Could be better, could be worse
As an amateur blacksmith, I could have clodged something together. However, I did a search and I saw this kit and figured I’d save some time and effort… so I could get back to wasting it on the exercise bike instead and save the fuel for fun projects. Like many great ideas, someone else already had this one. I suffered on my cheap Aldi bike for thousands of miles and the gel seat cover I bought finally busted. Even with it, I used a pillow. The seat they used was wood with some cheap rock hard foam and it screwed onto the triangle plate… if you are here, it’s probably for the same sort of reason: the default seat on your exercise equipment sucks. Anyway, when the gel cover busted I had had enough and found this rather than go out to the shop to make one and then the trip to the hardware store for the bolts… and the washers that should have been included with this that were referenced in the included instructions… but were not included… thankfully, I had some. Not mentioned in the instructions however: The socket size for the nuts and bolts for the plate is 7/16 in or 11mm. You’ll need that and a wrench. They do mention how to secure the seat using 9/16. My seat post clam bolts were 13mm or 1/2 in. I give credit for the near universal design and the crossbar that will help brace it since the triangle on my bike is a bit too long. I could either weld or just bolt it and maybe hit the bike with an angle grinder if the original plate is too annoying sticking out. If you are modding an Aldi or other weird exercise bike, you may be stacking some washers for a not quite perfect but hopefully good enough fit. For those that need it, they include a post mount, but, as mentioned, my new cushy bike seat came with one. Spare junk for the workshop I guess. That part, I would sell separate, and knock some off the high price of this for those who don’t need it- and still include washers and a better way to secure the cross-bar, or even an extender for longer triangle mounting plates… if it gives me issues the way I have it for now, I’ll make an adapter for the adapter so at least I won’t be starting from scratch. Overall, a really helpful adapter.

Works great
I used this to retrofit a Schwinn seat onto an old exercise bike. After 100 hours of use, the adapter hasn't slipped or shown any signs of damage.

Not helpful
It was better but still uncomfortable for me. Not use to riding bikes.

Great find! See update on Cloud-9 seat that will fit.
I am very happy about finding this adaptor for my exercise bike. It fit perfectly, and now I can use my really nice and comfortable bicycle seat. I don't know why exercise bikes come with such bad seats to begin with. But this solved the problem perfectly. Worth every penny. The company even emailed me to make sure it fit my LifeCycle C3 exercise bike before sending it. Update: Had to buy a softer seat so I could sit up. Found with a few adaptations the cloud-9 seat will fit. Turn the seat clamp around backwards. Add 3 nickels taped on top of the post. (use thin tape, just enough to hold the nickels in place). Now the springs on the cloud-9 seat won't interfere with the adaptor plate and the seat can be adjusted to fit you better. This should have been how the exercise bike was made in the first place.
This is a wonderful idea well executed. Like so many people I had an exercise bike gathering dust in the hall because it was ridiculously uncomfortable. The weather has made it near impossible to exercise outdoors recently so I dragged the bike out. Had to replace the pedals as the OEM pedals just fell apart. Put on real bike pedals (that's another review) and it was a big improvement. But still uncomfortable. I got the idea of using a real saddle off a real bike but the mount on the exercise bike is proprietary. Ugh... A little research and I came across this product. It's not expensive (downright cheap as bike stuff goes!), so I got it. It's easy to install with hand tools. If you can screw in a light bulb, you can do it. The company even has instructions online (link in the paperwork that comes with the mount). This made the exercise bike much, much better. Now I can ride for much longer without discomfort and without having to constantly readjust my position. Yes, I'd still rather be riding outdoors, but I'm not up for riding in snow and ice, so this has made my list of favorite products.
