Excellen - Beats L’Oreal Casting Dye by a Mile
MUCH better than L’Oreal Casting colours. I used Amber which is gorgeous. The “Amber” shade in the L’Oréal Casting semi permanent dyed my hair medium brown!! This leaves hair super shiny and glossy and is easy to comb through for even colour whilst you’re dying your hair. It does come out quite a dark red but I know it will fade over time. I have long hair with bleached ends and defo needed two packs. Definitely using this again. The photo shows the colour after the First proper shampoo. My greys started to show again after the third wash. Dump those Casting colours - this leaves hair softer and shinier.

Darker than expected
The colour came out WAY DARKER than pictured on the box! (looks darker and browner in real life than in this photo too!) easy to use though and smells nice so they're the bonus Also - be aware that it will stain anything it drips onto

Colour me impressed
Fab product, used to cover some old grown out balayage and a few greys and it’s done a fab job at the fraction of professional price. Really easy process even if you’re not a hair expert, would definitely recommend if you’re in need of a quick freshen up. Will definitely repurchase

Terrible new formula - didn’t cover any greys and left hair patchy and dry
Have been using the previous version of this hair dye for years and after (eventually!) working out they had changed to this version was expecting the normal good results….how wrong could I be! The dye looked a good colour as it was sitting on my hair, but once washed out and dried it is patchy and hasn’t covered any grey - there is literally as much grey as before. The colour of the rest of my hair is very minimal too (dye was left on for longer then recommended as per how I usually dye my hair with the old version.) Hair looks worse then it did before dying. The dye itself has also left my hair feeling both dry and sticky feeling. Even though I washed it out throughly. Not impressed and will be looking for a new dye now after being a loyal user for years (plus the price has gone up considerably for a much less effective product!)

Hair left looking dull and feeling claggy
This used to be 5 star for me, I have always used colour 76 and it has always left my hair soft and shiny and the conditioner always used to leave my hair so smooth. However, something has changed. The colour is now listed as 637/76 and although the colour application felt the same, it has left my hair feeling dull and claggy feeling. Yes, I rinsed like crazy. Even the conditioner packets have changed their look and I suspect their content as my hair feels brittle now as well. Colour is OK, instructions have changed and to be honest, the language used on the leaflet is a bit condescending and American pat on the back toned. I bought lots of this colour, but when I get through the bottles, I will try a different brand.

Glossing treatment is awful
Colour: Fine. Application process: Fine. Glossing treatment: worst treatment ever. This is my first time trying this brand after switching from another who inexplicably changed all their formulas and colours. The dyeing process is fine, completely as you would expect. But the glossing treatment was oily, slimy, squeaky, awful. Despite multiple rinses, it resisted water and my hair wouldn't dry, it was covered in oil. I had to shampoo it four times to get it out.
