Works with sheep also
We use this to boost Selenium intake in our Ewes the last 6 weeks to help neurodevelopment of the lambs. So far so good.

cheap selenium powder. I appreciate it
I bought some off of ebay, when they had the bucket, before Covid inflated the price of things. works great! but I didnt use it for a horse, I used it for myself, just wanted it cheaper than pressed capsules thats all. with all the toxins from covid, I took like multiple full horse doses in a day, maybe where I'm at is ridiculously toxic? I know that when I took too much I would get chest pain, because Selenium is apparently an oxygen moderator, as describbed by Dr Richard Olree ("minerals for the genetic code" by charles walters [also available on amazon]). for you folks who's horses dont like the taste of the yeast "tastes and smells like powdered farts" at times, but you can do brazil nuts too, those are SUPER HIGH in selenium too, and like mentioned above you can over do it too, and get chest pain in you eat too much, not sure how you would find that out on a horse though if it took too much, unless you have an ekg machine right there. selenium is the body's master detox mineral, but will apparently use tellurium from garlic too, though I heard garlic will disbalance the brains frequencies, and I suspect it may have to do with using a secondary mineral (tellurium) in stead of a primary-preferred mineral for things

Economical and effective
This is exactly what I wanted to add to my horses feed. Since feeding this my horse’s tail has finally got good growth. I have been trying to get it to grow for years it now is 15” long and he doesn’t look like a mini draft tail. It’s the selenium intake that’s helping the growth. He’s a big Appy mustang from a selenium deficit area of Oregon. I also have to say that through the years I have used other selenium supplements, non have worked like this.

Horses dislike the taste and smell
I'm sure it's a really "great for your horse" product. However, no matter what I added to mask the taste and smell, our horses really disliked this amd would not eat it. We switched to Purina Free Balance 12:12 and they are now getting the minerals and selenium they need while enjoying their feed.

Won’t eat it
My horse generally isn't a picky eater, but he WILL NOT eat this stuff. Wouldn’t waste your money. I am using bio-sponge which I can mix into a paste and administer to him.

Powder awful
Powder is very messy and a lot of it gets on your hands because the scoop is so small. Prefer the pellets
