UTC Night Sky - Fragrance for Women - 55ml Parfum de Toilette, made by Milton-Lloyd

I bought this Night Sky eau de toilette by Milton Lloyd alongside DNA for my mum (I've left another review for DNA also). As already mentioned in my other review, we love the price and the quality, the simple bottle design in frosted glass, the generous atomiser, and how elegant they look as part of her fragrance collection. Now the scent. Night Sky is apparently a 'dupe' for Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. Again, with no way to compare these dupes to their designer originals I cannot comment. However, what I can comment on is this Night Sky fragrance; which initially opens quite intensely and sweet as there is a lot going on here with fruity citrus, blackcurrant, coffee and vanilla (alongside the other notes that are in the description). But it really is the sweetness of the vanilla that is from beginning to end from what I can tell. Its really beautiful, and very feminine, but not in the kind of sweet candy perfume sense. It has an edge to it. This is more of an evening scent in my opinion - maybe not in the hottest seasons, as this is a much darker, moody fragrance. The dry down is lovely - gives me a hit of caramel, which I'm guessing is provided by the vanilla. This is an eau de toilette, so remember that this will not last for 10 hours. You're going to get the intensity for about half an hour, but if you are like us and you spray this on your clothes you will get a lot more time out of it. You should get about 3 hours of the caramel/coffee dry down - which is absolutely lovely. You won't be disappointed. I am very much a fan of Milton Lloyd (UTC) as they always create really great fragrances that don't cost the earth.

Lasts well,smells just like black opium

The fragrance is lovely, with a scent definitely inspired by Black Opium—rich and warm. However, the bottle design could use some work; it dispenses a bit too much with each spray, so it finished faster than expected. Overall, it’s a nice alternative at a good price, just a bit wasteful on application.

I think these are good for their price! This is similar to Black opium. Smells nice on me, also stays on clothing for a day or 2 and the same when sprayed on bedding too. Very nice!
