Great Tool. Easy to use. no moving parts. should last forever. Tests every kind of battery
Worth it. quick easy check to see the power level of any battery. often times one battery is the reason your device quit working. this tool finds the discharged battery if there is more than one.Sweet!

Actually very accurate and easy to use
I was initially worried when a read some of the few comments that said this battery checker doesn't work. My background is in Electrical Engineering and so normally I just pull out my digital multimeter to check batteries. The thing is pulling out a digital multimeter and hooking up the right electrical leads to test a single battery is a big pain in the neck, so having a convenient dedicated battery checker makes sense. In particular I need a battery checker that gives me an indication if a rechargeable battery is 100% charged or partially charged as this helps me make time-saving decisions that give me peace-of-mind with a lot of my video and audio recording equipment that use rechargeable AA or AAA batteries. So I tried this device. And guess what? It works great! It accurately showed one of my AAA rechargeable batteries was perhaps 50% to 75% used up matching up well to what the battery indicator would show inside a the digital field recorder that was using it. So that kind of information lets me know if I'm OK using one of my field devices for another hour if I should be OK or do I need to go back in and swap out a battery. One more thing. As an Electrical Engineer I need to make a statement against anyone who claims any battery tester falsely told them a battery was good when the battery was dead. That statement is scientifically false. It is possible for a battery tester to tell you a battery is dead when it's good BUT IT IS NOT possible for a battery tester to tell you a battery is good when it's dead. Why do I say this? Because a battery tester is like using a portable light bulb as a battery tester. If the light bulb lights up brightly the battery is good. If the light bulb is dim the battery is weak. If the light bulb is dark the battery is very weak or dead. There's no way the light bulb accidentally lights up brightly and the battery is dead. If that happened it would require magic. So in the same manner it would require magic for any battery tester to tell you a dead battery is good.In conclusion this unit is accurate and makes testing batteries very convenient and hassle free.

Battery Tester that Gives a Good Enough Idea of a Batter's Strength
This device is very easy to use -- you just have to learn the location for each type of battery. I know it's accurate for new batteries, but I have no way of confirming its accuracy for used batteries. I have some batteries that had already been rejected as weak but are showing as borderline good by this device. It's good enough to give an idea of the strength, but you have to get used to the degree of strength displayed by the device.

Even tests button cells batteries!
This is a great battery tester for 1.5 volt alkaline or rechargeable batteries. Easy to use and read in seconds. Love the wide array of batteries it tests including 9 volt and button cells that others typically don't include

Get one!
Wish I had bought one of these years ago!! Works great, has prevented us from throwing away so many batteries. Never realized that it was usually just one battery in the set that had gone bad, so you shouldn't be recycling all of them.
