The caulk is milky clear. Note however that while it cures, about 24 hours, its fumes are very potent. Best if applied from the outdoors if possible. When I last bought it about 3 years ago, it was NOT vanilla scented! Smelled more like a strong solvent. But it DOES work well.

Q: Anyone ever left this on for more than one season? Will it become more difficult to remove over time?

Per Dap Technical data sheet: Product left in place for more than one year may be more difficult to remove. Product may peel or damage wallpaper, uncured or degraded coatings and similarly weak and/or degraded surface materials. To remove bead when fully dry, peel sealant bead away from the application surface.

Q: Will it adhere to polyethylene plastic (like the light-weight blue tarp material) in cold temps (-25F) and sun exposure?

It will initially adhere but this is a relatively light duty sealant, not a heavy duty caulking. Your blue tarp application suggests possible unavoidable movement or required flexibility that may be beyond this product's long term capability.

Q: Is there a minimum or maximum outdoor temperature for outdoor installation?

It has been a couple of years since I applied the product but, the temperature didn't seem to affect it. As long as it's warn enough for the sealant to flow out of the tube and be workable I would say it woub be O.K. It does an excellent job and removes real easy.
