Brain and eye targeted Omega-3s
This is the only practical way to get Lysoveta, the best form of Omega-3 for the brain and eyes. It has a special transporter to get across the blood-brain barrier. Studies on Lysoveta show it helps a variety of eye and brain issues. My wife and I both have started taking it. It has no taste that we note. This is a good value for Omega-3s that target your brain.

High-quality omega-3 supplement for children but likely also fine for adults
This is a high-quality Omega-3 supplement made of krill oil: * Age range on the Amazon page is listed as "Child," though I think adults should be fine with taking them. * I like that this comes in capsule form and has a recommended daily dosage of only one capsule, making it easy to incorporate into my daily routine. (Capsules are small and easy to swallow.) * These are made in the USA and produced in a GMP-certified facility, but I did not find anything about third-party testing. (Those criteria make me feel more confident about what I'm putting into my body.) As a reviewer for products sold on Amazon, I don’t rate supplements on results or if they work since that depends on each individual's experience and their ever-changing environmental circumstances. I rate only quality and value, the criteria I'm allowed to judge. If you're interested in the possible therapeutic uses of this product, please do your own research on reputable medical websites and consult your healthcare provider.

⚠️ Useless if oxidized — Read before you buy
This product contains no antioxidant system to inhibit lipid peroxidation, which poses a theoretical but easily avoidable risk to brain health over the long-term. That is a huge oversight for a compound like LPC-DHA, which is designed to cross the blood-brain barrier via the MFSD2A transporter and embed directly into neural membranes. My bottle smelled very fishy upon opening, and I even chewed a capsule to verify its intense fishy flavor. That fishy odor and taste strongly indicate that oxidation has already begun. This is likely an Amazon issue that is less likely to occur when ordering from the manufacturer directly due to their very hot warehouses and tendency to leave packages baking in direct sunlight. Regardless, my concern is that the absence of an antioxidant system may facilitate the delivery of highly reactive lipid peroxidation-derived aldehydes like MDA, acrolein, hexanal, and 4-HHE directly or indirectly into the brain in small, consistent amounts over time. These lipid aldehydes, if delivered into the brain, are not harmless byproducts. At only nanomolar concentrations, they form irreversible adducts with mitochondrial enzymes, neuronal proteins, and DNA. These interactions promote neuroinflammation, impair cellular energy production, induce mutations, and contribute to long-term cognitive decline. They are strongly implicated in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The manufacturer is solely relying on the trace amount of naturally occurring astaxanthin in krill oil for stability, but this is naive. Not only is astaxanthin itself highly unstable and rapidly degraded without the presence of co-antioxidants, but it also isn’t present in sufficient quantities to offer any real protective effect. A product with such brain specificity and such a high price should be stabilized with best-in-class lipid-soluble antioxidants like tocotrienols, specifically gamma and delta tocotrienols, which are proven to be among the most potent protectors of vulnerable omega-3s from oxidative degradation, significantly more so than tocopherols. Tocopherols, while most certainly better than nothing in any omega-3 product, are less ideal in this context, as they are less effective at inhibiting lipid peroxidation compared to tocotrienols and may even act as pro-oxidants under certain conditions, especially if only alpha-tocopherol is used rather than mixed tocopherols. It would cost them virtually nothing to include them. Because of their extraordinary potency, only a trace amount per softgel is required to confer substantial protection. My concern is that since DHA has a half-life of up to 2.5 years in the brain, partially oxidized LPC-DHA could still be recognized by the MFSD2A transporter and incorporated into neuronal membranes. Even limited peroxidation (one or two oxidized double bonds out of six) may leave the molecule structurally similar enough to be transported, raising the risk of embedding oxidized lipids that persist long-term in brain tissue. By nature, all forms of DHA, whether it be triglyceride or LPC, are highly unstable, and oxidized DHA can initiate chain reactions that damage surrounding lipids. The brain is especially vulnerable to this process due to its high lipid content and relatively low antioxidant defenses. At best, this product is useless if oxidized, and at worst, it may be silently harming the brain. And that is what makes this so frustrating. LPC-DHA has enormous potential. When properly stabilized with antioxidants like tocotrienols, it could transform cognitive health and neurodegeneration treatment, but this little oversight in the formulation adds unnecessary risk. I am 100% willing to give this product a glowing 5-star review if they decide to add tocotrienols/mixed tocopherols, switch to aluminum blister packaging (which is ideal for eliminating oxygen exposure during storage) or at the very least, use glass bottles. With no antioxidant protection, cheap plastic bottles instead of glass or oxygen-impermeable blister packs, and no transparent peroxide or anisidine value reporting, this product could be a liability or just a waste of money to anyone trying to nourish and protect their brain. Without an antioxidant system, you are gambling with the stability of each batch you receive, especially with Amazon’s harsh storage conditions accelerating oxidation. For this reason, it may be better to order from Fenix’s website directly than from Amazon, but that doesn’t lessen the need for an antioxidant system in general. I would also highly recommend you store your bottle in the refrigerator to slow down oxidation. As someone with a deep understanding of the biochemistry behind lipid peroxidation, I believe the risks (albeit mostly theoretical regarding LPC-DHA brain delivery specifically) are real, and the premium price tag demands proper stabilization with tocotrienols or at least SOME sort of antioxidant system. No excuses.

Just not worth $75.00.
These are ok. But not worth $75.00.

Excellent product, no fish burps with use. Easy to swallow and a decent amount of DHA, EPA and LPC. I've noticed decreased achiness in joints since using consistently.
