27 Colors Origami Stars Paper

Awesome assortment
A great set on its own and an excellent base to pair with smaller specialty sets. The assortment of colors and textures look really nice together. The solid papers are sturdier than other star strips I've used; they're more like printer paper than origami paper. The vellum glow papers have raised glow-in-the-dark ink on one side - make sure you're folding with this side out! The thick glitter paper makes very solid and sturdy stars and doesn't shed glitter. All papers are easy to fold and shape. The best thing is that this comes with several shades of each hue. If your stars are looking too bright, add some pastels. Want to ground things? Add some neutrals.I was doing a 1000-star jar and supplemented this set with a 240-piece iridescent/neon set I found in Chinatown. It came out great and I have enough of this set left over to do a second jar.

Fun activity
The paper strips come nicely packaged. The printed and metallic ones all have their individual sleeve to keep them separated. This has been nice to keep them organized and in smaller groupings. The plain paper ones come all together, in what I would describe best as a big note pad style. The whole rainbow of colors are attached on one of the short sides. I have divided the pack into smaller more usable sections. They do make very nice stars, in learning how it was easier to begin on the thicker, printed or metallic strips. The colored paper is nice, but very thin. It was a little bit frustrating to learn how when they were not sure how hard to fold it with out messing up the pentagon shape you want to end up with.Over all it has been really fun to make them and share them with friends. The papers are a wide variety of colors and I cannot complain about the fun we have had either!

Solids are great, glitter & printed strips need a bit more love.
The solid colors are fantastic in terms of folding ease & presentation. The others are a bit trickier.“I love you” printed - These have a tendency to deform before pressing the sides in from the pentagon shape to the star, so some strips among these take a few refolds before it comes out decent. I try to have the texture on the outside of the folding, which is what is intended because of the words reading correctly with the texture out. It probably has to do with the inconsistencies from the text having texture on one side instead of a smooth, flat surface for both sides. But it’s still manageable.Glitter - These feel about twice as thick as the solid color strips. They take more strength to apply, but they don’t have loose glitter that gets all over the place as shown in their packs in the image. When folded over, the edges stay smoothed over rather than cracking up like I thought they would.Overall, they all look great! Besides deflating them back to pentagons, they feel strong once they’re stars. As someone who’s made paper stars on/off as a hobby for around 15 years, it’s worth the money & the possible pain in your hands!

Stelline
