I love this ! Purchase for my daughter. She travels a lot. I’m always concern for her safety. I purchase these items. They lite weight easy to pack in your bag. So far it fit the hotels that she been in so far!

I tried this out on our door at home and it worked okay. It fit the door frame and was able to hold the door closed. The metal seems decent and I wasn’t able to open the door at all. The fit on our home door was okay, it took a little effort to get it to close, I am not sure I love the spin locking mechanism on this, it works though. However, we bought this for my wife to use on hotel room doors when she travels for work. It didn’t fit the door, it was a standard hotel door that you would find at any place. Nothing special about it, but it wouldn’t allow the door to close, the door seal wasn’t super tight either, I mean you could see the light from outside coming though the side and bottom of the door. I like the concept on these over some of the other ones. When it works it does work just know this isn’t going to fit every door just the way it was designed.

Our back door simply will not lock at certain heat and humidity temperatures. When it is cold, the wind can blow it open easily. Nothing has worked to ensure the door is always secured, but this portable door lock does! The house is from 1903. The adjustable screw allows the portable lock to fit the built up, fancy door frame AND the old wooden back door. It also fits a modern door in an original door frame that leads to the basement. That's peace of mind, too, because now no one can crawl through the street level, wide basement window and come into the house through what really is just a closet, and not a security, door. We are not in a very good neighborhood. This simple portable lock gives me a lot of peace of mind when sleeping or when leaving the house for a few days. The few seconds it takes to screw and unscrew a wingnut each day is worth it. 5 stars!

It was smaller than I expected, but built well and on the doors it fit, it did work well. The metal is strong, the directions are good and the plastic on the ends help to make sure you don't mar or damage your door. Fairly straightforward to use. It worked in all you doors at home but only on 1 or 3 motel doors I tried it on. The doors were to tight to fully close. The lock held them shut but didn't allow the door to fully shut. Overall, it did what it needed to.

This is a great concept but limited in use. It will only work with some doors, and it mainly depends on the door lock. When it fit, it did a great job and was easy to install. The screw on the frame side easily adjusts to different frame heights. The rubber covers keep the door from getting damaged. It could be an issue for children in an emergency or if someone needed to reach you from the outside.
