I dont know about this being original 3M or not but i can tell you that this is definitely bang for the bucks.Pros:1. Easy to cut -- i have used it to splash my helmet with all kind of crazy images and this has been easy to cut with scissors. check the pics.2. Sticks good -- really like the glue on it. sticks to the helmet real well and hasnt come off or shown signs thereof. So much so, that it is on my riding jacket and bag and sticks (the edges do come off a bit but then you seriously cant expect this to stick to clothes.3. Reflective -- Lights me up like the 4th of july when riding my bike at night. makes me very visible and feel protected. I have seen cars give me a lot of cushion due to that (used to ride earlier without these and sometimes cars would creep in real close only to realize that there is a biker in the vicinity in the vicinity and then back off). with these the visibility is high and people have told me that they could spot me much better with these on.4. value for money -- at under 7$ you get crazy amount of tape. otherwise, 4-5 stickers alone would cost as much as this.Cons --Cant think of any,Hope that helps.

It is not the 3M product. Amazon simply put 3M a space then the rest of the model number to give the impression you purchasing a genuine 3M product.

Great reflecting tape. Took one star off for weakish adhesive in back. Tape is very stiff so ends will peel if bent around sharp curved bends. Solution was to cover reflective tape with high quality 3M clear packing tape.

Pros: Cuts well, folds into corners ok.Neutral: Adhesion is ok, not super great. Clean a hard surface like a car door real well and don't bump or scrape it and it'll probably stay. Probably allows for peeling off if needed.Con: Reflectivity is so so... Some reflective stuff seems to glow, like "where's it getting all that light?" some, not quite as good, catches the eye... This, if you are looking at it and the light is right is definitely reflective, but it doesn't "pop". Giving the best I've seen a 10 and some cheap stuff a 2 this is about a 6-.Basically... If you need to see something better it's fine, but if you want somebody not to hit something while they're driving fast at night keep looking.As a side point: I wish the description made it clear that this is (or isn't) genuine 3M. And if so what its product number is. (this may have changed since I ordered it)

I ordered this to replace a 3M product. It needed to be 3M to replace the original product. When I received it, it became apparent it was not the product as advertised. It looks like a good product (though I have no idea how it would hold up to weather,) but it is not what I wanted. Differences include:- about 5mm narrower than the 3M equivalent-about 2 shades greener that the 3M equivalent-has EGP (see photo) branded on the tape face, not the 3M brandingUltimately, I'll keep it for other projects, but it was a real disappointment that it wasn't the right brand product.

This tape works. I do night hikes once a week with a local group, and I didn't want to go out and spent money on an ugly reflective Caltrans-style vest, so I put some strips of this on my backpack. Works like a charm. I'm reflective!I also taped some around my bear canister. This way, if the bear finds my food horde and kicks it around, I might be able to spot it. I can't verify that works though (luckily).

I put it on my black cane and it makes me feel much safer walking at night. BUT as others pointed out, it doesn’t adhere well to cylindrical surfaces. I solved that problem by tightly wrapping it down with good quality clear packing tape. I’m sure I will find more things to “reflect upon” with it.

First and only reflective tape I have used so far. Used it to replace reflective tape on utility trailer after repainting. Very easy to apply with proper procedure. Have had it on outside in all kinds of weather conditions (rain, snow, freezing cold, extreme heat) and haven't noticed ANY degredation in quality or appearance. Very pleased with product.

This is a very poor quality substitute for what is supposedly 3M tape. What a scam. Very misleading marketing. Dont expect it to stay "stuck" for long. Its shoddy.

Good product, good value, can double up to make 2" reflector if needed. Sticks good. Easy product to work with once you get use to pealing off the backing. Some products have double strip on plastic to to be able to remove the backing before placing this product does not have that feature but its minor and is great value.
