This is really rich and creamy moisturizer. It's slightly scented but it may just be the ingredients as I didn't see fragrance listed and Korean products don't usually have added fragrance. It is very moisturizing and lays really nicely under foundation. A little goes a long way and my skin didn't gave any adverse reaction to it. Also, the packaging and added spoon and face contour massaging tool are really high and and lux. This is a beautiful addition to my nightstand. They put so much effort into the appearance that I trust the ingredients really are as well formulated as they advertise because it seems they thought of everything and went the extra mile. I will continue using this a few times a week especially when my tretinoin dries me out. If anything changes I'll report back.

Retinal is the next best thing to using a prescription retinoid, and, perhaps counterintuitively, it tends to cause less irritation than retinol. Concentrations of 0.05 and 0.1% have been studied, and this cream is 0.1%, so it's a concentration that is effective. Because some skin is especially sensitive to retinoid treatment, it's always best to phase in retinoids 2-3x/week at first so your skin can acclimate; if you rush it, you can experience redness and peeling. This has shea butter to help protect the skin barrier while using retinalI use a prescription retinoid, but I like alternating with a milder product like this. Retinoids have made a noticeable difference in my skin over time; even my college-aged daughter noticed and commented on my skin. Regular use is key. I can't really quantify how much a gua sha helps, but I think gently massaging skin with it helps me relax, and it might help blood/lymph flow, so it's a nice touch to have it included, although I prefer a stone gua sha since it stays cooler.This has essential oils plus 2 other fragrance ingredients. I would prefer a product that has no fragrance to reduce the risk of irritation, plus the bergamot/citrus oils might be suboptimal to use in the daytime because they have a component that irritates skin when exposed to UV light.I only used this as night because of citrus oils, and I didn't experience irritation to my skin, but I also found it borderline too much for my nose. Wow, this cream really blew me away! I love K beauty and skincare so I had to try this out, but it was even better than I expected! I love that this comes with it's own little guasha tool and it's magnetic too so it attaches to the top! It even has a little clean plastic scoop to get the cream in a sanitary manner and it even explains on the box how to use the guasha! It does have a slight botanical scent but it fades quickly. It also doesn't leave much stickiness on my dry skin, but I think it works better for dry than oily skin for sure as it's super moisturizing. I am so amazed with this cream and have loved using it that I may restock soon!!

As for the product, I like it. Seems to work like my other brands. Absorbs quickly and a little goes a long way. Comes with a plastic spoon for scooping which I get but won’t use. Also has this weird silver attachment in the lid? Not sure what that’s for honestly. Could prob. Get rid of it and reduce the product cost a bit. Overall though it’s not a bad selection.
