Can you substitute with Nutella or hazelnut spread?

I am not sure about hazelnut spread as a substitute because I am not familiar with the texture and taste of that. The chestnut spread has a very particular taste that is really good. But never could I imagine Nutella as a substitute!! Just not the same thing at all, and defeats the purpose of chestneut spread. But I suppose that someone who is a good cook could develop a recipe that would surprise me!! Carol
