Fantastic product! I read several Amazon reviews and also reviewed some Jeep forums regarding MPC remote start products prior to purchase. We just moved to Colorado and my wife’s Jeep did not have remote start from the factory.Shipping was fast with Amazon Prime. Product arrived in a small box with instructions on how to download the installation instructions from MPC. I reviewed the instructions before opening and it sounded quite simple.For my installation (2014 Jeep Compass), I had to remove 3 panels under the steering wheel (all except one screw were phillips - the other was Torx 20). It was then visually easy to identify the connector I needed to unplug by the key cylinder (in picture). The harness plugged in without any splicing or cutting of wires. Next I followed the instructions to program the module for my vehicle application. (The product already comes with firmware for your vehicle type but brief programming is required to associate to your specific vehicle). After that I just tested that it worked as expected and then used zip ties to secure wiring and module and replaced the panels. I did not install the Valet switch as I am not concerned about needing to disable remote start.I have done quite a bit of automotive work over the past couple decades - both mechanical and electrical. And this is a very easy install. I am very pleased I did not have to cut/splice wiring nor did I have to pay a dealer or other third party hundreds more to get remote start installed! Great product!

Installed on a 2015 Jeep Compass. Super easy install. Just need a 7mm/or phillips screw driver, and a T20 bit. (5 screws total) Remove panel under steering wheel (2 screws), then remove steering wheel panel, (1 T20 screw, and 2 phillips screws recessed underneath. then unplug connector from immobilizer and plug into the module. programming was as easy as plugging in cables to module and pressing a button!

The installation was easy except their was a wire that was left disconnected from the factory. Tech support was great in helping with the problem. Once the issue was solved everything was easy and works great.

Installed according to instructions. It actually did start the car but after running for a short bit the dash lit up with error lights. No wiring issues or other problems. Turned off vehicle and removed the device according to instructions and the errors remained. From what I can tell this unit probably damaged the PCM so I lost my car by using this device once. DO NOT BUY!

I had a couple of troubles with the installation because my car does't have power locks and costumer support helped me find a solution that worked really fast. I am very impressed with the system overall, it saved me the time and money of buying a really expensive system or a new car.

Works good so far. Not a long range but it does mostly what I need. Directions were not the best and I had to fiddle with it a bit to fully understand what the directions were explaining. Not a bad bang for your buck though unless you are completely not tech savy at all.

I bought this to add remote start to my 2016 Jeep Compass. The install was simple, you remove the harness from the ignition and connect the remote start module between the ignition and ignition harness. There are a couple steps to program the module to the vehicle. Lastly, I tested it. Once I confirmed it was working, I zip tied the module under the dash and closed it up. It has been working great with no problems.

Very impressed installation could not have been any easier. No splicing wires necessary unless you choose to add extra features like the included kill switch.

Easiest car starter to install ever. It took more time to remove and reinstall the 3 plastic pieces of the steering column, than it did to install the auto starter. I have a older model, not the newer model 2017 Jeep Compass. For the 3 plastic pieces, it was 2 philips screws and 1 T15 torx screw located on the bottom piece. Just unplug the harness from the key cylinder, plug it into the T harness, then the other end of the T harness back into the key cylinder. The 30 second programming, then your done, reinstall the 3 plastic pieces and your all done. Quick, simple and easy. Definitely 10 out 5 stars.
