Sweet woodsy aroma
This is my first introduction to Palo Santo. I shaved off some small chunks (3/8"L x1/8"W) off a stick with a very sharp knife. Sort of like sharpening a carpenters pencil. I then placed a couple of chunks on a lit charcoal bakoor disk. The aroma is sweet, sort of like Sandle Wood but with a more vanilla note. The smoke is very pungent so you don't need much more than a couple of shavings to fill up a 400 sqft room. I like it on its own but it also pairs well when burned together with Frankincense resin.

Relaxing Mild Incense Aroma from Genuine Palo Santo
I wanted to try this to freshen a room, add ambiance, and create relaxing atmosphere. I had not smelled this before. Many other reviews were helpful and accurate. This has a very mild vanilla, mint, sage, cedar scent. Repeat - this is a mild aroma. You might detect the faintest hint of francincense (since it is related), but I hesitate to mention it, since I don't like pure francincense resin. I am very pleased. It seems to smell more sweet and vanilla when first lit. Then it mellows further. This is different and immensely better than any incense I have ever smelled. Sticks are maybe 4 inches. It only burns about 1/4 inch before extinguishing after about 10-15 minutes. So you use a stick many times. The wood is very light (meaning not dense; low mass) like balsa. It must have a bit of volitile sap like pine or cedar because it will burn like fat wood if you let it. But that takes a while to start over a good flame, and you can easily blow it out when the amount of stick you desire has been lit. Then it will smoke gently for 10 minutes, extinguish by itself, and cool rapidly. You can score a ring around a stick using a knife or scissor and easily break it into smaller pieces if you want to fit this into a small incense burner. A great way to use it is to stick the unlit end of a stick into a small, clay bowl filled with sand. Holy Wood is a good name for it. I will purchase repeatedly from this seller.

Good quality, lasts forever.
Got these back in April or May to help ward off the mosquitos during the summer and they worked like a charm. As an extra bonus, they also helped keep pretty much all other bugs out of my room as well. Including spiders it seems.Instead of lighting the main stick, I'd shave off a little bit into a stone bowl I have and light that instead. Seemed to help prolong the product & didn't lead to burning more than what was needed since trying to light the main stick is kind of a pain in the butt. One thing I noticed is there was about 5 to 7 sticks which when burnt, just smelled like regular wood burning, but they did smell like Palo Santo when I smelled them when they weren't lit. Hence only giving it 4 stars out of 5.

LOVE AND LIGHT
Loved this product. Shipped right away which was great because I was down to my last one. The width of them are perfect because thicker ones takes so much time to get the flame going then burns out too quickly. I purchase these again

Kindling Wood Not Palo Santo
I've purchased from this merchant in the past and received quality, long lasting product. This order is very different. From the start this order was off. The sticks were very lightweight instead of being heavy and dense like palo santo sticks. Nor did the box have the strong palo santo smell as they normally do. When I opened the package, the sticks' texture did not match the texture of the verified palo santo I have in my home. The flat planes were too smooth and not ribbed/ridge like real palo santo. The final straw was the burning. The first two sticks smelled fine when heated, except they took a long time to catch fire. Then the lit end burned out very quickly instead of a slow, steady incense burn. I also noticed the initial smoke was black and foggy and not light and billowy like incense. The third stick I chose all but refused to catch fire and when it did, the smoke was black and smelled of firewood. Being in the same room with this smoke gave me an instant headache. Like the others, this stick did not remain lit once away from the flames.I can see from other reviews that this is not a one-off mix up. Replacing kindling sticks for palo santo is both dangerous to the average consumer and disrespectful to the spiritual consumer. I'd rate it lower if i could. Instead i'll make due with some very pricy kindling for our fire pit.

Incense lite
These are great for the household. Helps cover up and remove odors. The first time you light it, it won't be great.. it needs time to get a good inner burn going but one you're about an inch in, you'll fall in love. After they catch, let them burn for about 20 seconds, then blow out and it should ember and smoke for about 15-30 minutes. The smell lasts a couple hours after that.I like to describe this as incense lite because it's all natural and no heavy fragrance. Just wood.
