Solgar Deglycyrrhised Licorice Root Extract Vegetable Capsules - Pack of 60 - Botanical Extract - Vegan and Gluten Free (Packing May Vary)

I take this twenty minutes before a meal and have found immediate relief from the acid pains that usually commence after eating. I’m weaning myself off PPIs taking them every other day and had acid pains. But immediately I began taking these before all meals except the one closest to the PPI, I got far more relief than I had done since I was on daily PPIs with no pain at all. When I took these capsules whole after a meal, it made no discernible difference. As soon as I changed the timing and took the liqorice twenty minutes before eating, having removed the liqorice from the capsule and swallowing it neat so the saliva can mix with it, the acid relief began. I think coming off PPIs will be so much easier because of the liqorice and am grateful to other reviewers who took the time to tell everyone of the help this gives them. Am also taking solgar’s potassium tablets with a glass of water to ensure the liqorice doesn’t deplete my potassium levels drastically, which is the danger, they say, of taking liqorice.

Have been taking these for a week, I like liquorice powder anyhoo & need anything & everything that’s anti-inflammatory & these are supposed to help with that - I have IBS & reflux. I’ve got confidence in the Solgar brand & have a few of their products Update: something’s helping! 5 months on, combined with bevy of other supplements, I’m feeling a lot better. I pull the capsule apart & put the powder in my morning smoothie or sprinkle on my food. Easy to take, a good & natural anti inflammatory, happy to keep taking it indefinitely. I also use normal liquorice powder as I like the taste & it’s a sweetener

Waste of money. Looking for a DGL product, which it is advertised as and yet it’s half raw liquorice powder. This should be more clearly highlighted as it makes it’s under suitable for anyone with hypertension.

Took them whilst taking mastic gum. Can't really say accurately how well they worked but they didn't give any negative side effects or stomach upsets. Capsules are fairly standard sized and therefore easy to swallow with water. The case came well packaged.

After some research due to peptic ulcers I opted to take these and aloe vera Juice (concentrate) as PPIs had horrible side effects, and after 2 to 3 weeks cleared em right up, aloe vera first thing in the morning and last thing at night, the DGL 15 mins before food, and if you have no choice but to take ibuprofen which makes ulcers worse pop one of these at the same time

Ecuse the pun. Gave these to a friend to help maximised the chemo effectiveness by slowing tumour growth. No idea if it worked but made her happy, could well have been just the chemo that put her into remission. But even if placebo it was a good effect

Didn't work for my gut issues

Intially started on the maximum does of 3 tablets 3 times a day. Started getting quite strong headaches. I did a little more research and discovered this is one of the negative side affects. I reduced the dose to 3 tablets 3 times a week alternating days. This seemed to ease headaches. I've been using these now for 3 months for my PCOS condition. I found that the inflammation I have been experiencing on lead up to periods had eased. On visit to my hair dresser she seemed very impressed as she felt my hair was becoming thicker (I also have male pattern baldness). I can't actually tell myself yet but do feel I am having more new hair growth on my hair line. I would recommend starting with the lowest does first as there are links with developing a high blood pressure.
