I bought the 10lbs size and got 9 pieces, all ranging from 5-7in long as described. Most of the ones I got are nice and flat, which will be perfect for my leopard geckos. They arrived packaged very well, with minimal damage, just a little dusty which was easy to rinse off.The slate is beautiful, and I'm so excited to use it!

High-quality Slate pieces of various sizes and shapes properly and thoughtfully selected and sized for building/creating attractive structure in any Aquarium. Shipped in a well-protected box ( yes I know it's rocks ) that prevents potential fracturing of these nice sized and shaped Slate pieces. So nice to get something from Amazon sourced in the U.S. of A. Will buy again when I can convince my better-half to acquire and establish an additional and larger-still Aquarium. You won't go wrong purchasing these.

These are real slate, and 99.99% pure slate. Jet black color with virtually no marbling. I bought all three sizes and am VERY pleased with all. Washing is recommended but scrubbing is not really necessary. They look really beautiful in a freshwater fish aquarium. The shapes are varied as expected, but perfect and natural. Unless you have unlimited time to search for less expensive sources and options, these are worth the expense.

These are very nice looking stones. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because some of the stones are very thin, chip and can be easily broken. Some have edges that are sharp and could potentially harm the fish. Use caution when moving, cleaning or stacking them as the thin ones are somewhat fragile. Also, consider your fish when placing the ones with the sharp edges if you use them.
