awesome energy efficiency, works perfectly and quietly
Running like a champ for weeks now, excellent product! The Gamma is probably the most energy-efficient in-home (120V) BTC mining solution available at about 20W/1.2TH/s (i.e. 16.67 J/TH), and not the best but still reasonable initial cost for its performance. Very quiet fan, easy to use and configure, handy mini display for basic info including configuration SSID and status IP using HTTP. Uses stratum+tcp as expected, I got it communicating with both ckpool.org and my own local proxy, no issues at all.

Fun geeky gadget to get you started into crypto mining!
I bought this to solo mine bitcoin but it can also mine other crypto. This is a neat little device that is super simple to set up and works as advertised. Please keep in mind the fan on this is loud and you can hear it in the next room no problem so make sure you have a place to keep it that is out of the way and not in an area that you don't want what a lot of fan noise.

Great miner for the money.
Great miner! Well built with good cooling. After a few days letting it run I was able to under volt it and take the asic up to 585. Running around 58c and hashing at 1.6ths. Using right around 20 watts.

Quality
Easy to set up, did alot of research on mini mining, avalon nano has a higher hash rate however the quality isn't there with power issues and units going out after a few months. The bitaxe gamma is high quality and seems well put together. This thing is tiny the size of a pack of cigarettes however runs smoothly

Overheating fault right out of the box
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Setup is not easy because it won't save my settings. Its defaulted to a really low frequency (50) causing overheating. It won't let me save it back to higher frequency, just ignores my inputs after clicking "save" and goes back to wrong settings. Been messing with it for an hour and I'm about to throw it away to save my sanity.

Works, but noisy.
I was excited to get this because it comes in a nice case and looks like a finished product. The miner looked great on arrival, and it works fine, but the buzz from the fan was so loud that I could hear it in the surrounding rooms. The stock cooling is just not sufficient to keep the noise down. My tear-down of the unit showed the following:- Way too much thermal paste applied between the ASIC and stock heat sink- The stock cooling solution is undersized for the ASIC's TDP (fixed with a larger heatsink + cutting a larger case hole for said heat sink)- Air flow is restricted by the case (fixed by drilling additional vent holes in the front and back)I was so bothered by the noise that I voided the warranty with modifications so that I could keep it running and give my ears a rest. I also traded out the stock fan with similar sized Noctua. It's significantly less efficient, but it is quieter under load, and I am able to maintain temps around 63C on stock settings with an ambient temp of 24C/76F. With the mods in place, I now only hear the miner at a whisper when in the same room.

Great BitAxe machine- easy setup- nearly silent.
Easy setup. Lives up to expectations. I have this connected to a solo pool, delivering 1.2 TeraHash rate per second. Very quiet, sits on my desk at work, and I forget it's there. Highly recommend this for a lottery miner. May the Hashes be ever in your favor!
