Review with Instructions!
They work. Provided you have the info needed and enough understanding of networking to work through the setup. Documentation, especially by model number is not easy to find. Thought I would provide the key parts.1. plug into your switch, or wifi router/firewall.2. plug in power. wait a min or two.3. get the ip it's on, a. by using your wifi/firewall/router dhcp section or download the wanscam ip search tool. Currently at [...] to use this URL you will have to add the dots to the domain name part and remove all the spaces I added, and case is important. Or just search google for ipcamsearch.exe and wanscam. be sure u download it from wanscam and not some other site so you have less chance of getting an infected program instead of the utility you expect to download. Once downloaded, go to your downloads directory, find the ipcamsearch.exe program and run it. If all is well, you should be able to see the camera ip and the port it's on. Type that in your web browser (not the search). It's best to specifically define what your looking for to the web browser so it doesn't land you on a search page anyway. So, for this JW0019 camera I typed http://192.168.135.166:99 (ip is 192.168.135.166, port is 99) and that info is shown in the search utility. Once you get the login pop up where the user is admin (case sensitive) and enter nothing in the password line you should have access to the cam for further configuration. Notes for long term use. Many people use off the shelf wifi/router/firewall devices, these offer DHCP to auto assign addresses. DHCP by design hands out addresses on it's own from a sequential list it maintains, when the wifi/firewall/router loses power or configuration is changed chances are good it's list of addresses previously handed out will be reset and all the devices will get new addresses. This works well for the typical use of, I want to get on the internet. For accessing a camera by IP, this means the IP will change each time your wifi/router/firewall looses power. So, either be aware and use the ipsearch tool to get it's new address each time, or manually set the camera's ip so it stays put when power is lost. Prior to manually (static ip) setting the ip address of the camera, you should login to your wifi/router/firewall, find the DHCP page and make note of it's ip range configured for DHCP. Example. if your camera lands on 192.168.1.15. and your wifi/router/firewall has a configuration for DHCP set for 192.168.1.2 through 192.168.1.100 then you should be safe to assign the camera the IP of 192.168.1.101 or even 192.168.1.200. Typical range on most wifi/router/firewall's are from 192.168.1.1 through 192.168.1.254. Pictures provided for example. Good Luck! Other than the difficulties some have with setup due to the complexity's of networking, the cameras are pretty stable and long lasting, picture is acceptable and I'm pleased with mine.

So far, so good
First, I deducted one star because it didn't come with a CD like it says in the description. That created a headache for me, but I found a workaround. First you download e-view 7 app from the Google Play store, and install it on your smartphone. In my case Galaxy S4. You set up the camera by plugging it in via ethernet to your router. At that point your router will assign an IP address and port, and this will show up in the e-view 7 information.. write it down..! After you successfully connect the camera wirelessly to your system, open up your router and go to port forwarding. Put in the camera's IP and port # and click save. Then open IE. Type your camera IP and port # into the top address bar. Should go something like http://192.168.0.xxx:81,and that should take you to your camera's home page. BTW, you'll need to go to IE "tools' and make sure your Active X is on, but the camera will prompt you and even provide a download link. After I did all that, the picture popped right in on my PC in IE. Works great with e-view 7 on my smartphone, and I also side-loaded it on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I had installed a sandisk 32g class 10 card, and as soon as the camera turns on, it starts to record. Once filled, it overwrites the oldest files. From the camera's home screen, you can access the card's files, and view them. So the local storage with no PC on is a great feature. You can save the files to your PC, although I had to look to find that function. The files don't have a time with them, just the date, and the size of the file. Picture is pretty good at 640x480, although a little herky jerky.

Problem with SD card
I bought a SanDisk Ultra 32GB MicroSDHC Class 10 and the camera cannot recognize it. Just received them yesterday and I am trying to find a way to use the SD card.--------------------------Update: Ok, I contacted them and they answered my email very quick. Problem solved, I just put the card in when the camera was off and it recognized it. Picture quality looks OK.

Bad camera, worse support.
Could not connect to the camera. My router client list showed it with corresponding IP address but unable to access the web interface. THERE IS NO SUPPORT. I don't think there is even a company anymore. Any links to the company are as dead as the camera.

JUNK
This product is very cheaply made and does not work as advertised. Do not fall for the low price. This is the 2nd Wanscam camera I have bought. The first one stopped working after a month because condensation got in the camera even though they claim it is for outdoor use. The SD card slot on the 2nd camera did not work. The customer service told me the problem had to be my SD card, so I bought a new card, and it did not work, either. They wanted me to call some long distance international phone number in China to get support on the camera before they would replace it. The camera software does not work remotely. The documentation is very poor. The motion detection functionality does not work, even when set to the most sensitive setting. I have a Master's degree in Technology, and I do not know what some of the settings do because there is no documentation on 90% of them. I will never buy another Wanscam product after this experience.
