FOUR YEARS LATER...
Semi-experienced gardener checking in... I have harvested, chopped, and replanted these roots so many times that they now take up over 20 square feet of my yard! They're super tough and survive Zone 7's extreme heat and cold with no problem. Whatever rain we get seems to be plenty for them, but I do hit them with the hose occasionally when it's really hot and dry. Otherwise, they seem to thrive on neglect. By far the easiest food plant I've ever grown... Honestly, this is probably the best thing I have ever bought through Amazon. It's a gift that keeps on giving! The leaves are delicious, but I use them as a trap crop for beetles to keep the little buggers out of my other greens. And of course the roots are AMAZING. Horseradish is one of the greatest flavors known to humankind, and pulling up pounds of these bad boys to make more sauce has become one of the highlights of my year! (I haven't weighed a harvest yet, but I will update after the next one.) Bonus: they also get cute flowers that my bee buddies love!10/10 would recommend. Buy these lil beasts and toss em in a sunny spot, you won't regret it... unless you hate flavor, in which case why are you even reading this?

Fantastic, clean and hardy root stock!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to plant the horseradish root for OVER A YEAR, and I kept it refrigerated in the packaging it was sent in. This past May I was finally able to plant it - AND IT SPROUTED VIGOROUSLY IN LESS THAN A WEEK!Buy with confidence from this seller!

Tasty!!
Worst experience shredding bc I didn't know what I was doing. Figured it out half way thru the shred process. I have extra hot & mild horseradish. Lol. Btw, it's growing back since I left some of the root in the ground. Can't wait for harvest this year. Keep it in a confined space. Mine is in a tall bed.

Purchase was exactly what I expected
I always get nervous buying plants off Amazon, but I read the reviews and this seller had more positive than negative. The positive reviews were spot on! I purchased 2 roots. One was huge! The other was smaller but that's okay! Just don't expect equal size pieces. They were already beginning to sprout upon arrival. I probably could have waited to plant them, but I was too excited to get them in the dirt. Now.. I sit and wait. Definitely happy with my purchase and will be looking at the sellers other listing's for any of my future garden needs!

Arrived with a sprout already growing..
I thought it was a very healthy root. Good value, it was healthy and fresh, no comment on its temperature, still growing so I haven’t tasted it yet and it had no smell upon arrival but since its horseradish I’m sure it will have plenty of scent after I process the root this fall to consume.

Both pieces weren't strong
Twice in the last six months I experienced horrible bouts with sinus and bronchial infections that lasted three weeks each time. It was a viral infection , not bacterial, so the doctors couldn't prescribe an antibiotic. Frustrated and angry, I went looking on Youtube for a natural cure for my problem. And that's when I ran into Rosemary Gladstar and her potent Fire Cider remedy. I did my research on Youtube and learned about the careful handling of this miracle root so I wouldn't get burned or bothered by the fumes.I received two small pieces of fresh horseradish carefully wrapped in a cloth set in a plastic baggie. The shipping was fast and terrific, but not the product. I had no idea they would be different strengths so I picked one started shredding it. This first one I used, was like a stick of hard wood with very little smell to it. But I didn't know it was no good. The Fire Cider I made with it still sits on my shelf waiting out the 4-weeks processing. I hope it still works as a great elixir for my needs. The 2nd stick, was much stronger and more potent. I shredded it and now it sits in a bag in the freezer for tea. I use 1-tbsp fresh frozen grated horseradish with 1-tsp fresh grated ginger root and steep 20 minutes in hot water.
