Orzly - Premium Tempered Glass 0.24mm Protective Screen Protector for Motorola Moto G (New 5 inch Model from 2014 - Alias: Moto G2 / Moto G Version 2 / etc.)

I was really excited to get a tempered glass screen protector for my Moto G 2nd generation (2014 model), but since the phone had just come out, there were very few available, and none had any reviews. I chose Orzly because they had some for other phones and had a video demonstration for their iPhone screen protector that sold me on their product. Unfortunately, I had nothing but issues with the screen protector.Pro: I finally ended up dropping my phone on a concrete driveway, face down, on a rock. The screen protector chipped, but my phone underneath looks brand new. It does what it's designed to do: protect the screen.Cons:1) Touch sensitivity! P and Q were hard to press on the keyboard, and swiping was a nightmare. I had to use my thumbs all the time, and press fairly hard to get it to read. I thought maybe it was the phone (since I had never used it without a screen protector), but after I chipped the screen protector I took it off and the touchscreen was back to behaving beautifully. So this product definitely interfered in a major way with the touch sensitivity of my phone.2) Adhesion. The product was super easy to install, but down by the microphone was a spot that kept "turning white" from the screen protector "un-adhering" from that spot. I could push it back down to get it black again, but it would be white again in a few minutes. Never had any actual performance issues over this, but it seems like it would have only gotten worse over time (had I not dropped the phone).Basically, I was about ready to go with no screen protector at all rather than have this. There's no sense protecting a device that doesn't work properly while it's protected!

The protector fitted nicely and protected the phone as it should, no touchscreen issues whatsoever. I finally ended dropping my phone on concrete from about 20cm and it chipped but I kept using it and dropped again on wood from about 1m and it cracked, removed it and my screen was safe.

Excellent dispatch, packaging and handling. Item arrived with no cracks. The alchoholic and dry wipes did their job beautifully. After that, the glass fitted wonderfully. I have been handling it for more than a week and the touch responsiveness has no problems at all. I most surely recommend it to every moto g 2nd gen owner.

Great price. It was easy apply. No discernable colour changes. Touch just as responsive. Looks like there isn't a screen protector at all.

Good fit, and having used an Orzly glass protector on my previous Moto, I though I was fine with this one. Today I noticed a hairline crack running across the width of the screen. As these covers are difficult to remove (I sold my last phone with the cover as did not want to risk damaging it by prising a side with a sharp object), The phone works fine. I need to get ready to take it up and am hoping that the crack is in the glass cover and not on the phone. The phone has been dropped once or twice but it has a back panel Tudia cover too, so is completely encased. I am a bit concerned as never had a cracked screen and this glass cover should not have given so easily. If the crack *is* on the phone then it would mean the Orzly glass did not protect it at all. Whichever, after just over 6 months of use I am wondering if it is not too soon to break.

In the past I have bought screen protectors, applied them and after a few weeks been disappointed to find that they have started to peel or developed bubbles. This time I took the plunge and paid far more for a single screen protector than seemed sensible because the reviews seemed to say that the Orzly® - Premium Tempered Glass 0.24mm...was a better solution. That was in Februrary and when it arrived on time and well packaged I have to admit to still being a tad worried that I had made a mistake. Surely this glass protector couldn't be as easy to apply as it said,... well it was. The cleaning kit sent with the Orzly® screen protector was handy to have and I did spend quite a bit of time cleaning the screen making sure there was no bits of dust in any crevices. I also took my time to line up the protector on my Moto 2 G 2014 to ensure that the slits in the protector sat comfortably in place before I pressed in the centre of the screen and watched the glass adhere faultlessly. all on its own.This may have been a case of first time luck but I never had much success with the thin plastic screen protectors and purposly delayed leaving a review of the Orzly® - Premium Tempered Glass Protector until I had been using it for a few weeks. I am happy to say that the protector is still firmly attached, no bubbles or scratches. No loss of sensitivity on the touch screen and no visible loss of colour/definition.Money well spent.

Brilliant product! Having previously been disappointed with a glass screen protector (different product, different supplier), I was a little apprehensive about going down the same route again. I needn't have worried. This screen protector was delivered well-packaged, with everything needed to achieve a perfect result. By following the instructions, the glass film was in place without difficulty, without any need for re-jigging and without a trace of a bubble anywhere. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to tell that the phone has a screen protector fitted. I am very pleased that I chose to give 'glass' a second chance and would definitely recommend this product.

The best screen protector I've used, and I've used a few. Once fitted you'd be hard pressed to know it's there, the screen feel is just the same as the original screen.The only problem is ensuring you work in a dust free environment, mine has a tiny floaty cat hair stuck in the bottom corner - it floated in just at the last moment. It really doesn't show - but I know it's there! I've had it on my phone for few months now and it looks as good as new, my phone lives in my jacket pocket with car and house keys and hasn't picked up a single scratch. It just needs a good clean once a week or so to remove face and finger prints.

This is the 2nd protector used on my phone. This is not because it was rubbish in anyway, quite the opposite. I dropped my phone rather hard and when I picked it up at first I thought the screen was cracked. As the crack didn’t seem to cause any problem with the operation I left it as is until my wife did exactly the same with her phone. On her phone the screen crack was much more obvious so a new front screen was ordered. Upon removing the screen protector from her phone it would appear the screen protector itself has cracked, not the screen underneath. I then grabbed my phone and removed the screen protector to find it had cracked. The protector had done exactly what it should. Take the impact and crack the protector not the screen. This is by far the only screen protector I have ever used that works. Sure it’s expensive, but then again so is a new screen. The amount of money I’ve wasted on cheaper alternatives that don’t do what they should is endless. Save yourself the grief and fit one of these.
