Honestly, I didn’t think my cat would even use this, but now she won’t drink from anything else. The running water must make it taste better or something because she drinks way more now. My dog sneaks a few sips too, so it definitely works for both. It’s quiet, easy to set up, and super simple to clean. I like that it comes with extra filters and the little mat to catch drips — that’s a nice bonus. The size is perfect so I don’t have to refill it every day. If your pets are picky about drinking water, just get this. It looks cute, works great, and my fur babies love it. Total win. 💧🐾

I was tired of having my dogs old water dispenser become slimy and cloudy within a couple of days so I decided to purchase this fountain, and let me tell you, it is amazing! It is true what other comments are saying about their pets drinking more water. I feel like my dog is also drinking more. His urine used to be medium yellow, but now is light/clear-ish yellow. It is also possible the water is evaporating quicker? I don't know... I do replenish the water every other day because if you don't it will start getting louder. Not crazy loud, but you will hear a buzzing sound. When the fountain is filled up to the water line, it hardly makes any noise and I don't notice any sounds. My couch is about 5 feet away from this fountain and I can't hear it, but if you stand next to it, you will hear a faint buzzing sound, but like I said, its not noticeable. Cleaning is easy, just be careful with the AC cable. The instructions on how to clean the motor are clear and I was able to do it all on my first try. One thing I would like to add is how the filter is placed. The way the instructions demonstrate the filter be placed allows debris to slip through, so I just placed the filter upside down and it works the same while holding back debris from flowing to the top of the fountain where the drinking water is. Lastly, I wanted to talk about the water additive. I've been using a water additive to help my dog keep his breath and teeth clean. I feel like so far it has been working and I wanted to continue using the water additive with this fountain, but it is not possible. I added the water additive, but the filter does its jobs and the filter gets clogged/covered with a clear slimy layer from the water additive passing through. I'm not sure if the water additive ingredients are reacting with the contents inside the filter, but this slimy layer is pretty nasty. The next time I cleaned the fountain I did not add the additive and did not have this problem. I was so bummed, but decided to keep the fountain since I would rather my pet have fresh water at all times. What I did was place another bowl of water with the additive so my dog can choose to drink from either. I know this is a deal breaker for some since the purpose of buying the fountain was to stop having bowls of water sitting out....but like I said, it's not an issue for me. So yeah, I would totally recommend this water fountain for small cats and dogs. My dog is around 11lbs and had no issue fitting his tongue/face around the drinking area. Honestly, a big dog could probably gulp down all the water in 1-3 days, depending on how much water it drinks. I would suggest this is suitable for small to medium dogs.

We have two of these, one downstairs and one upstairs. These have been pretty reliable so far and our kitties have definitely been drinking more water! So first, email [email protected] with your amazon order to confirm your product and register for a 2 year warranty, you need to do this within the first month of purchase. When you receive this product, REALLY clean it. I mean it. Clean it with hot water, pull everything apart even the motor and wash it out. The motor is very easy to clean but if you don't do it it can cause choppy sounds which aren't amazing to hear. You will need to clean your fountain regularly and replace the filter (they provide 3) every now and then depending on how many kitties you have etc. After that, provide more water than you think you'll need. Not more than the limit which is the line at the top but otherwise it will cause (even more) dripping sounds and the motor can again, sound choppy. Luckily this product is relatively quiet, it does have some noise of course from the motor and water dripping occasionally but it should not be disruptive. If you are placing it on carpet the motor may sound louder due to vibrations so just put some books or something under it if that is an issue. The cord they provide is relatively long, I want to say about 6 feet(?) and they provide you with a brick. I'm gonna be honest, I'd advise you to not use the brick if you can and substitute with an extra Apple brick or something. In my experience with two fountains, this brick for some reason causes a high pitched buzzing once plugged in. Other than that, this is a really great product that can be adjusted to your animal's liking and situation. Cleaning and (dis)assembly is easy, and you get a free 2 year warranty so why not give it a shot!

Very good product. Have 2 cats that both took to it immediately. Bert the betta fish can breathe easier now, the cats have stopped drinking from the fish bowl. This unit holds a lot of water, if you top it off you are definitely OK to be absent for a long weekend.

Love the idea of this. Can’t hear it at all, but my cat won’t go near it, so I am still turning on the water in the tub for him every night. Might be because he is 18 and set in his ways. Planning on getting kittens, so I will try it with them. Right now it is unplugged and just sitting on the floor.
