A little pricey, but if you work on your car at all the convenience is great!
Well what can I say. These are expensive, foam ramps, but they perform exactly as advertised. They are extremely lightweight, and the two piece design allows them to be stored pretty easily in not too much space. The two piece design also allows me to get under the car from the side and access spots not otherwise possible to access if the ramps were in one big piece. The ramps are sturdy and I've used them a bunch for cleaning the underside of the car, tightening suspension parts, oil changes, exhaust work, anything and everything that doesn't require the car to be lifted more than about 10" off the ground. These also stay put and don't shoot out from underneath your car like some of the cheap ramps you might get at your local auto parts retail store. My car is lowered and even though some floor jacks don't clear, I have no trouble driving up the Race Ramps. I've had friends use these ramps to make space for a floor jack to get the car up. The convenience makes these ramps worth every penny. I can't count how many times I've used these. I even have friends asking me to borrow them after they see how easy these are to use. Just make sure you line them up straight before you drive up the ramps.

Great ramps
I love these ramps. They're solid, so I don't worry about them collapsing like most other ramp designs; there's nothing to collapse. They're lightweight, so they're super easy to move around and handle. The removable front part gives way more room to work on things. They're foam encased in basically a bedliner-type material, so weather doesn't bother them (I left a car sitting on them outside all winter once). They're long and smoothly sloped so I can finally pull my low-ground-clearance cars up on them. They're also really handy for things like my '95 Caprice and '04 Grand Marquis, where the front overhang and lower air dam make it a pain to get a regular floor jack underneath to the front crossmember; I can drive up on these and then use a floor jack to get the car farther up in the air for something like removing a transmission. The relatively long length of these does make it more important to get out a tape measure and make sure they're parallel before pulling up on them, but that's a small price to pay for the incredible convenience. The stops on the end are adequate to keep you from driving off unless you get too wild.I did buy the Race Ramps branded wheel chocks (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZAGPGU), which are not the chepaest chocks around, but are also of good quality. It's important to chock the wheels when using ramps like these where there isn't really an indent for the tires - but the flat part is honestly wide enough that it shouldn't be a problem if you want to live dangerously.

Lightweight, detachable back half very convenient, works for most cars
Tempted to give 4 stars, but decided that a caveat is better than decreasing by a star. These ramps are SO MUCH NICER than asking my wife to pull up on the wheel well while I back it off my old metal ramps.... (to keep the air dam from being torn or torn off). So, the caveat - In comparison to the width of a wheel, ok, tire, not a lot to play with. I am an engineer armed with a tape measure and I ensure the ramps are parallel, which can be tedious. Plus you have to ensure they line up front to back and are not crooked - you can hang out the door and look every once in a while, but that is not safe. So, my caution first - make sure the ramps line up correctly. Now the great part - lightweight - most cars and even minivans will safely meet the 1500 pound limit - easy to use - and the detachable back half makes it easier to get to things. If you need heavier duty ones, you can contact the manufacturer via their website.

Great, heavy-duty ramps...worth the $$.
Some people just aren't too smart. Before I bought these, I read one review where someone said they could only be used with "high-performance racing tires." False. I read another review where someone said they are just painted foam. False. I don't know what these are made of, but it is a very high-strength and lightweight compound. I used them yesterday for the first time and they performed exactly as they should. I used them on a dirt surface. The vehicle was a classic 1982 Jeep Scrambler wearing aggressive BFG KO2 All-Terrain tires. As a back-up, I put a couple of 6-ton jack stands under the front axle. They weren't necessary. At the end of a day of work in the hot sun, the ramps still looked new. I thought I might see some tread indentations with the aggressive, heavy-lugged tires, but there were none. I drove the Jeep down off the ramps and you could not tell they had even been used...aside from some dust. Yes, these ramps are more expensive than others on Amazon, but they are worth every penny. I now trust them without reservation.

Finally was able to ditch my almost 20 year old metal ramps!
I got tired of my twisted and bent metal ramps that just seem outdated for the lowered cars I work on mostly these days. I did a lot of research for new ramps and came upon these.I love these! They are not only light and easily put in place but they actually work fantastically. I really like the dual design where I can pull the end pieces out also. I know there are two options for these ramps, with and without the 2 pieces but I HIGHLY recommend spending the little bit more on the two piece. Once removed its very easy to reach in and slide under where they were. otherwise you would have much less room to work with. When using these you might be worried about the material since it feels like it could collapse. It is very very sturdy though and I feel these will last a long time even with hard use.I definitely recommend these to any shadetree mechanic working out of their garage or just doing regular maintenance on their vehicles.
