This knife is working out well. It has a nice long cord that is fairly flexible. I use it in an upholstery shop to mainly cut acrylic canvas and it does a good job. It seems to be holding up well but I don't use it every day. It does leave a residue on the table when making long cuts so the possibility for staining the fabric exists. The residue can also get gummed up around the blade so beware and clean frequently. Overall, I am happy with this tool and at half the price of the "professional" models it is a great tool to have.

Works great to cut and prevent fraying on straps and synthetic material. Easy to use. Heats up fast.

Case is sturdy and well built. Slices through outdoor fabric easily, on next to highest setting. Lower temperatures did not seem to be hot enough to be effective, so I had to use on very high setting. Temperatures did not seem to regulate well. Either I had to have it on next to highest temp setting to get it to cut efficiently, or on any lower setting it would just scorch fabric but not cut it unless I was extremely patient, and moved cutting edge forward so so soooooo slowly. On next to highest setting take care to not burn whatever surface you're working on. I used an old tempered glass cutting board to protect work table. Beware, on high it will burn through and into wood surfaces.

My electric hot knife is not working now, red light still on, but knife is cold. I like this hot knife, only use for cut fabric. How can I do now?

Great quality. Works great for all kinds of things. Ez to use. Like the case to keep everything in one place.

I have not had a chance to use it yet, but it seems well constructed and the plastic case is nice. These all look to be the same, only different colors, accessories, and names. I'll update after use.

Good. A little slow to heat enough to melt 3/4" 3 strand nylon, but that may have been because of the partially separated tip.

I am making cushions for an RV and the material frays so much it would be impossible to use if I had not cut with the hot knife and sealed the edges. I suggest testing the temperature and the speed of cutting on the material you will be using, then cut away.
