Absolutely Amazing Engraving Machine!
I’m beyond impressed with this engraving machine! Setup was straightforward, and the instructions were clear even for a beginner like me. Within 30 minutes, I was already engraving wood and acrylic with beautiful precision. The machine runs smoothly, the build quality feels solid, and the laser power is more than enough for hobby projects and small business use. I’ve tested it on wood, leather, and even coated metal — all turned out perfect. What I love most is how accurate and consistent the results are. It’s quiet, fast, and the software is user-friendly. If you’re thinking about starting a craft business or just want a reliable engraver at home, this is the one. Definitely worth the investment!

Impressive precision and great value!”
I’ve been using the LONGER Ray5 5W for a couple of months now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 0.08mm laser spot delivers incredibly fine detail, and the 400x400mm working area is perfect for most of my DIY projects. I especially love the 3.5” touch screen which makes offline operation so convenient—I can run jobs without always needing my computer. It cuts and engraves beautifully on wood, acrylic, and even light metals. Setup was straightforward, and the machine feels sturdy and well-built. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for hobbyists and small business owners who want professional-quality results at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Awesome machine and quality for the price
The media could not be loaded. The Ray 5 10 W laser engraver is easy to set up and use, works with Lightburn and Laser GRBL software. It does have a little of a learning curve but that might be the software Lightburn more than the laser cutter / engraver. It has great functionality and build quality. It has a good size work area 400 mm x 400 mm and can cut through cuts through materials up to 0.8 inches/20mm thick for wood and 1.2 inches/30mm thick for acrylic. I appreciate its value for the cost and the functionality for both DIY and small business projects. I cannot wait to start using it more often. I had to contact customer support for assistance because I misplaced my focusing rod, but they were great help and responded promptly. Sorry about my voice and stiff speaking.

JUNK!
So many problems right out of the box:1. Can't attach the control module because the left mounting screw collides inside the frame with a screw to hold the frame together. Had to come up with a 1/4" spacer for that screw. Absolutely no way this problem would not be apparent for anyone assembling this unit.2. The attach method for the belts is extremely "mickey mouse".3. There are no travel end stops on the X axis, even though the screw holes are there. But it wouldn't matter. The Laser head hits the microswitch on the Left about 1 1/2" before it would reach the limit screw. Nothing to stop it on the Right...no stop and no switch.4. There ARE limit stops on the Y axis, and the front one you have to install during assembly (it's just a screw). But I don't know why. Again, the moving parts hit the microswitch about 1 1/2" before the stops screw, AND...the Laser head hits the front frame at the same time that the microswitch is hit.5. Powering up, the controller sees the Wi-Fi with a strong signal. But it won't connect, returns no error, just goes back to the starting point. ALL of the usual possible reasons for this were tested, and nothing fixed it.SO....about 2 hours of tedious assembly will be followed with similar amount of time to send this junk back.

Excellent Laser Engraving machine
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this laser engraving machine for a few days now and it’s been fantastic. Setup was simple, even for someone new to engraving. The instructions were clear and easy to install. The engraving quality is excellent — fine details come out sharp and clean. I’ve used it on wood, leather, acrylic, and even coated metal with great results. The machine is fast and accurate, with adjustable power settings to match different materials. The frame feels sturdy and well-built. I haven’t experienced any issues with stability or alignment. There’s also a safety cover and emergency stop button for added protection. The cooling fan works well, and it doesn’t overheat during longer jobs.Overall, this is a great machine for hobbyists and small businesses. It delivers professional-quality results without breaking the bank.

Not bad
FINALLY!! This is the THIRD laser I’ve bought in 2 weeks and it actually connects to the computer and works fine with both laserGBRL and Lightburn. Etches/engraved steel and glass with no issue and very clean. The laser itself is definitely what it says and is quite powerful. It does a really nice, detailed engraving of photos too!I am an absolute beginner i.e (just taught myself to use lightburn like 2 days ago) and I was happy with the ease of use and assembly. Instructions are pretty ehh but whatever.. use your brain and you’ll be ok, hopefully.Cons:There are no physical limit switches so be careful and take your time to make sure you place your file correctly. Don’t trust lightburn to follow your input of the laser dimensions.Doesn’t come with a honeycomb panel so you’ll have to buy one or put down a piece of sheet metal like I did.Anyhow.. nice powerful laser for the money in my opinion!
