Amazon Essentials Men's Moisture Wicking Golf Polo Shirt, Short Sleeve, Slim-Fit, Quick-Dry

I am 6’4” and 195 lbs so I need a large size for most shirts. I need it for the length, but not the width, so shirts this size tend to bow out at the back and make me feel a bit like I am wearing a tent. I prefer polos made of a very thin, breathable and moisture wicking fabric. A decent looking shirt you can wear on hot and humid days without any undershirt and stay comfortable. Old Navy makes a fantastic version, very similar to the ridiculously priced Under Armor version, and I was hopeful that this Amazon version would compare. It does, but has a few drawbacks. If this sounds like you, keep reading. If not, thanks for getting this far. I’ll keep this brief with a list of pros and cons below. Suffice it to say, I like the polo enough not to return it, but it is still a step below some of the shirts produced by other outlets. Cons: 1. It is far from wrinkle free, though I’m not sure it is even touted to be. It does tell me, though, that this fabric won’t be as soft as I prefer. 2. The color is a little darker (I got the coral) than it seemed in the picture, but not terribly so. 3. The “slim fit” is what drew me in and while it better than most, the back still bows out a bit 4. The fabric is clearly moisture wicking, but not the light fluffy kind. I know I’m starting to sound like a snob, but if you know what I mean, you know what I mean. Sometimes a shirt feels heavy when you sweat in it. The idea of the moisture wicking fabric is to pull that sweat away as fast as you produce it to aid in the evaporative cooling taking place on your body. This shirt doesn’t feel heavy, but I’m not sure how long it will stay that way on a really hot and humid day. Pros: 1. Price. For $15, I can become blissfully ignorant to the cons listed above. 2. Fit. It isn’t perfect (Yes, I know this is listed as a con too), but if you have a tall, lanky body type like me, a large will fit you better than your average polo. After a trip or two through the dryer, probably even more so. 3. Convenience. Now that I know this is a good fit for me, I can try all the different colors I want from the comfort of wherever I choose to be with my phone.

I really like this polo. I've been wearing it once a week or every other week since November. Its very comfortable and breathable. This polo feels like it should last a while. The fit is good. I typcally wear XL and this XL fits great. I've pruchased it in both burgundy and black so far. I definitely recommend this shirt. For work or casual wear, this will look good.

I purchased 3 models of this shirt and am well satisfied at this point. They are a very good value. Durability will be proven over time but for now I am well satisfied.

Ok. So I got a job in a retail sort of warehouse and they require collar shirts. So to believe it or not I have struggled to find a shirt that is comfortable, looks decent, fits well, and is not that hot. I bought some Reebok cotton knit shirts and they were too hot, I have to tailor them because they were too long when they arrived and don't fit my body well. I mean the fabric does lay on your body well. I bought some inexpensive polo shirts that are polyester. The polyester is soft finish. So I wound up keeping them to wear. Then I tried some Red Kapp work shirts. The shirts fit well but were too long, and even after tailoring them to length they didn't feel good and didn't feel flexible. So at last I had a polyester university shirt that I like the fit and length and isn't that hot. So I happened to google polyester slim fit polo and came across Amazon Essentials Standard Slim-Fit polo. These shirts are just what I have been looking for. The polyester finish is not really soft or rough but smooth. Kind of like a golf shirt. The length and fit were PERFECT when they arrived. AMAZON HIT THE HOME RUN on these shirts. For reference, I am a whopping 5' 2". My frame is small. Even a lot of "small" shirts fit large. My frame is small but kind of full, if that makes any sense. So all in all I am 100% pleased with these shirts and I am going to put them to use right away. I might even buy some extra one's to wear on a hot day or something. They are just plain polos but have a decent look to them if you wanted to use them for regular wear.

Purchased several shirts, all were great quality. You never know what you’ll get when you purchase sight unseen, these are worth it. Great value, style, and comfort. Color is exactly what you see online. True to size.

I decided to give Amazon's Polo shirts a try. I'm tall (over 6ft) and moderately slim (190lb), and I ordered two versions of this shirt, the LARGE in Navy, and in Green. This review is for the Green shirt. On trying it on I found that the shirt was not slim at all, but had too much extra material on the sides. The sleeves were also way too long. FYI, polos that fit loose and have short sleeves that are too long look, well, trashy. It's not a good fitted look. So this green polo basically looked too big in all the wrong ways. Also, the material feels cheap and maybe a little scratchy. It was hard to say, because the tag was scratchy. So, I don't know if this would actually be a comfy shirt to wear all day, but my first impression of it wasn't great. Here is the confusing part. The Blue version of this same exact shirt, also size LARGE, fit really well. It's a slim cut, the sleeves are shorter. The moment I tried it on I was like, "yes, this is how a polo should fit." I'm probably going to keep this one, though I was so disappointed by the other shirt, I already ordered some other kinds, because I figured the Navy one would fit the same. How can the EXACT SAME SHIRT, same model, same size, same Amazon webpage, be so radically different? I don't know, but it means I would have no idea what to expect if I ordered again, which means, I probably won't.

For this for my husband for a Halloween costume. Fits him well and great price for what we needed. Good material
