Work of Art
This is a superlative .177 BB replica of a Schofield revolver. It's big, it's heavy metal and flawlessly made. No complaints whatsoever. Really zips the BBs out there. The only drawback is the speed of reloading and only 6 round capacity. But the argument is this is about as close to the real thing as you can get and shoot all day long in your backyard. Highly Recommended.

Fun to shoot
Reasonably accurate, and the loading and reloading is actually a fun simulation of a real revolver.

Good Quality
I am an avid firearm collector, gun smith, and shooter. Recently, I have had the misfortune to be in an area that does not allow recreational shooting. I saw this CO2 powered replica and decided to give it a shot. I was not happy about the packaging. Not only was it a pain to get it out but some of the finish was rubbed off. I don't feel that this is a detractor from the gun itself but more of a side nuisance.(I don't recommend this next part unless you are mechanically inclined, or are well versed with disassembling and reassembling real firearms) I took the pistol completely apart and inspected all of the components. I made some minor adjustments to the hammer and trigger in order to make the trigger pull smoother, and I removed minor over flashing from some of the components. (None of this was necessary for the gun to function properly, I just was bored and had time on my hands.)There is one consideration that current owners and potential buyers should know about this gun; the breach lock is held on by 2 tiny screws. If you are aggressive with closing and opening during reload, or drop it when twirling (personal experience) the screws will bend and auger out the soft metal frame. Once this happens, the cylinder/barrel will not line up with the air nozzle properly and things don't work right anymore. I came up with a cheap fix and submitted it to Bear River. (3rd, 4th, and 5th pictures are of the fix. I made the screws out of #8-32 machine screws.)Overall, the accuracy and functionality of this gun is a real joy to say the least. I have read through most of the complaints about the gun and honestly most of them are from user error or simple fixes that Bear River can easily help you with. To counter the issues with the pellets getting stuck in the bullets, use the recommended air gun oil on the rubber for the first few uses.Yes, it's annoying that when you are twirling or quick drawing that if you catch the breach lock instead if the hammer you eject all of your rounds, but it just means you need to practice more. I have real Schofield's and the lessons I've learned from this gun have made me better with those.Lastly, be sure to grease/lube the set screw that holds in the CO2 cartridge. I use anti-cease because of how often it is used and how tight you have to torque it in order to get a good seal.I hope this review helps some of you out there.Happy plinking!!Addition: I modified a rifled barrel to fit this gun and the range/accuracy while using pellets was greatly improved!! Awesome gun!
Got this for my son for his 8th birthday. He loves it! It’s a nice gun. Good weight to it. Looks like a real gun. Shoots good. Pretty accurate. Not 100% but pretty close. The downside to it is it uses a ton and I mean a ton of C02. We have to change the cartridge about every 18-24 shots with this gun. And you need a tool to take the cover off to change it also. Which isn’t a huge deal but kids need help with that part. Also, this comes with the shells to put bbs into. If you want to shoot pellets you have to buy those shells separately. Which I didn’t know when I bought this gun. I assumed you could do both but I was wondering how that worked since bbs and pellets are shaped differently but now I know. So all in all it’s a good gun. Just costly with all the C02 and extra shells and it comes in a box. Not a case. So you may want to buy a gun case or holster for it.

It’s well constructed and feels like the real thing.
It’s well constructed and feels like the real thing. I polished up a few spots to make it look worn and realistic. Very cool

Not worth the money.
Purchase the revolver back in September. Within a week had problems with the cylinder not closing probably. Tried contacting the company and had so many problems. No one was answering the phone, left messages with no call back, tried the online chat and waited past the estimate time and nobody came on, tried leaving an email and they sent a Yahoo video to me except it was for a different problem. I tried replying back to let the person know and again no one contacted me. I did another email claim and this time the person admitted they had no clue how to fix it since it was unheard of. I still had hope so I sent the revolver back for an even exchange in October. Lasted a month and had the same problem. We fixed it ourselves and now having problems with the Hammer not latching. Trying AGAIN to contact the company. Not happy at all.

Quality Air gun
Bear River did a great job on reproducing this into an air gun. I have shot it both with BBs and with pellets. It is very accurate and fun to shoot. Heavy like the real thing. It looks so impressive I made a display stand to show it off. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I am sure you will enjoy it whether you get the nickel version, or the gun metal version as I did. My only wish is for the price of the extra cartridges would be a little lower.
