BS EN1303:2005 It means that it's just enough to make insurance companies happy. But there are better locks.

Q: How many keys come with the lock, why is it so unclear? Why do reviews say 4 but answer to questions says 2?

I have purchased two of these locks one for myself and the other for my son and both of them came with 4 keys. I think the Yale lock code 4 P-X54KP-PB on Amazon is purely for this model with 4 keys.

Q: Will this be OK as a replacement of a Union rim cyclinder?

Should be as long as your current night latch is British Standard - will have a Kite Mark.
