Easy to install
Easy to install and works as required. This is a monster of a fan. It brought my radon to 1 PC/L or less. My fan is mounted in my basement so you can hear a hum but that is expected. I expect to have this for many years.

Keep your original plug wire
Luckily, I was replacing with the exact model that had lasted 10 years. Had to transfer the plug wire and retainer bung to the new unit.

Good, long lasting fan
We use this fan as part of a system to remove humidity from the ground below our crawl space. We have three of the same fans since there are three large, separate areas of crawl space that require venting. This fan lasted for over eight years of continuous running in a hot attic, and the other two fans are still going strong. The unit seems a little pricey, but I cannot complain about the quality of it. By the way, make sure that when you are installing the fan, that you use rubber flexible PVC couplings for both the inflow and outflow so that replacement is a breeze when the fan ultimately fails. You may need to glue a piece of PVC pipe or an adapter to the fan in order receive the flexible coupling (I used polyurethane adhesive supplied in a caulk tube). If you have an open stack vent you may also want to use wye's in the installation above and below the fan (see diagram) in order to prevent rain water from entering the motor. In our instance,we diverted the black tubing to drain to the exterior for drainage of the rainwater since our purpose was to remove humidity from the crawl space. The other option is to attach an exterior hood to the vent stack, but that requires more time on the roof (ours has a very steep pitch) and if you are using the fan for radon mitigation, a vent hood will redirect the gas downward toward your house. Finally, if your purpose is for radon mitigation, make sure your exterior vents are higher than the nearest roof ridge in order to prevent eddy currents of wind disturbance from redirecting the gas downward.

Good product
Bought this as a replacement for an older product that died. Easy to install, works as advertised, left on 24/7 and still going strong.

Replacement for my old RP265
Why pay someone to do this when it’s so simple to do yourself. I was quoted $350 to replace my old RadonAway RP265 which was installed 14yrs ago. The motor had seized on the old one. The part numbers on my old unit were slightly different than the current models but I simply called RadonAway, sent them pictures of my fan tags, and this is what they recommended. The install took me maybe 15 minutes. Great product and it seems to be pulling slightly more vacuum than before too!

Exactly what I needed, Easy to install
Our existing unit installed by a radon company stopped running after 16 years. Wanted to replace it on our own to avoid excessive costs. Found the exact same unit on Amazon. Free shipping swayed my decision, but took longer to receive than usual 2 day shipping. Unit was as described, very easy to install and reasonably priced.

A huge step up from previous fan
I was having a problem with high radon in the basement despite having a mitigation system. This model of fan came recommended by a radon specialist and it made a big difference bringing the level from about 8 pCi/L down to less than 2
