EuroGraphics Irises by Vincent Van Gogh Puzzle (1000-Piece) (6000-4364)

As many have mentioned, this puzzle is super difficult. The oddly shaped pieces were cut by a sadist and many did not interlock. That being said, this puzzle is perfect for expert puzzlers who need a challenge. This is my 6th 1000-piecer and was able to finish in four days! The end product is beautiful, and I can’t wait to hang it up on my wall. I would not recommend for beginners and/or those with low patience.

The surface finish was excellent. For the first time I didn't have a hard time doing my puzzles at night time because there was no glare. The puzzle isa difficult one because, with the exception of the white flower, and the few spots of soil, you have to look for the tiniest differences on the pieces. If I had weak eyes, I could have never done it.

This was a very challenging puzzle but unfortunately, it is missing a piece. It was unbagged carefully, not dumped out. The work area is white fiberboard and the floor and furniture nearby are black. No kids or pets to make off with it. We are 100% sure we did not lose it. Interesting, difficult, time consuming, and ultimately, very disappointing when there are only 999 pcs.!

What makes this puzzle the hardest I have every done (even harder than the Chuck Close self portrait, which is highly recommended) is the color repetition. I suggest forming the border first otherwise you won't have a clue what you're doing. The only other points of clear reference are in the picture I attached. I'm down to placing maybe 3 or 4 pieces at a time and it's going to take weeks, but it makes this puzzle great value for money. Not for the faint of heart!BTW there are a couple of very odd shaped piece in the right hand border, hard to find.

We will never buy a puzzle by Eurographics AGAIN! The pieces are cut very similarly, very boring, very tedious and difficult. They didn't include a full photograph so part of the puzzle was hidden by their logo. This was the worst puzzle we've ever completed and nearly threw it in the trash.

This was a fun puzzle to work on and more challenging than others. There were no pieces missing. The image and board quality is very good. This puzzle is grid-cut and while I prefer random-cut, this was still an excellent purchase.

This puzzle is not for the easily frustrated or faint of heart. Unless you are a real whizz, I think you will find it takes a long time--so have a safe place you can assemble it over a period of time. The picture however, is very nice and you will have a real sense of accomplishment once done.
