We recently purchased Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas for my son, who is an avid fan of both the Dog Man series and Captain Underpants. As expected, this book did not disappoint! From the moment he started reading, he was hooked, and I could see the excitement in his eyes as he flipped through the pages. He keeps rereading his favorite parts and even tries to copy the drawings in his sketchbook. I am a teacher for children with special needs. I bought this for my 4th grade class to read. Most of them have not read graphic novels and some had no interest in reading it. The entire group LOVED this book. It was great for those that are not on level with reading... shy and do not like to read a big passage aloud... or hesitant to read. There are a lot of colorful graphic and jokes. I have never heard so much laughter and children begging to read this book. We read the entire book aloud and they begged for more.

This is a great book for kids. My kids absolutely love it and because my older kid has it my younger kid likes it to great book. Exactly the same one as in other book stores but at a better price

My daughter loves Dogman books! So do all her friends! I have never seen kids so excited to read books! My daughter does enjoy reading but she normally doesn’t just do it on her own but with these books I see her go over to the book shelf we have, grab it and just laugh and read. She also reads them to her younger cousins and family members and when she got 2 of them for her birthday she started screaming out of excitement! I never thought I’d see the day my daughter was that excited over a book. Love love love these funny, silly, great books!

My son loves these funny Dog Man books. It is a silly book that keeps my son’s attention. From a parent and teacher’s perspective, I like these books because they are fun, easy to read, full of pictures to help children visualize what they read and there is always a problem and solution. Your child will be able to easily re-tell what happens at the beginning, middle and end and will fall in love with reading. We have at least 3 and plan on getting more! The hard back cover is sturdy too so it will be a book that can be read over and over.

My son, who hates to read because it is difficult for him since he is dyslexic, LOVES these books. He happily reads a few pages himself then hands it over to me to read. Some of the words are slang like "supa (super)" but it is good for children to be exposed to words like this as well. These books are super cute and even I as a 28 year old think they are fun!

Love, love, love the Dog Man series!! Dav Pilkey, please don't stop writing these. This series is the biggest hit in my elementary library. With multiple copies of each book, I still can't keep them on the shelves and I always have a huge holds lists. I even have students creating their own Dog Man books. This latest episode, Lord of the Fleas, is my favorite one yet. Lots of laughs and a few "awww" moments. Looking forward as always to the next book. The students will be super excited to know that I have this one now.
