Carson MiniMight MM-618CG 6 x 18mm Pocket Monocular with Carabiner Hook - Green

Bought it to look at birds in back garden and read notices in the road. Would need a stronger lens for anything else but it's ok for what I needed.

Excellent little monocular.

I was looking for a compact monocular to fit in my everyday outdoor waist pouch, and they don't come much more compact than this. First impressions - the 6* magnification is good quality and gives a sharp image. The downside is that the field of vision is quite tight, but that's expected in a scope this tiny. It's tricky (but not impossible) to adjust the focus one-handed, I suspect this will become easier with use. My main reservation is the lack of lens caps. While the monocular does come with a lightly padded case, it feels too big and won't product the lenses from dust. I plan to make a leather case with caps built in but obviously that won't be an option for everyone. On the whole however I think this is great for the price, the monocular itself is good quality and I can see myself getting a lot of use from it as it's so portable.

Not something you would buy for serious birdwatching or astronomy but if you want something for occasional use that you can carry and hardly notice and which gives a good view at a reasonable price this is fine. I do have a tiny Pentax 10x18 binocular of comparable size but trying to hold such a small, light item of this magnification still is a nightmare. 6x seems like a good compromise.

Cracking little piece of kit, definitely worth the £20 I paid for it.

Great little monocular. Very light, you can attach it to your belt and hardly notice it. Easy to focus,. Though it is listed as only six times magnification, it allows you to see so much more then with the naked eye. Excellent value for money.

I am patyially sighted and I use these to play bowls.I would not be able to see well enough to play without this sort of help,thanks.

Lo necesitaba para el trabajo, cuando necesitaba mirar referencias de materiales colocados a gran altura, evitando tener que andar bajando y subiendo el material de los racks. Se gana bastante tiempo. Muy contento con este monóculo.

Grossissement et luminosité satisfaisants ,néanmoins l’œilleton est légèrement deformé et n’est pas parfaitement circulaire. Gros point négatif sans lien avec la qualité elle-même: le sachet plastique à l’intérieur du carton est fortement déchiré et a visiblement été ouvert à la main grossièrement pour je ne sais quelle raison (tentative de spoliation?). Le carton était fermé mais semble pouvoir être ouvert et refermé comme si de rien n’était,car pas de bande collante par dessus la fermeture. Cela semble n’avoir eu aucun impact sur l’objet mais je suis inquiet car JAMAIS eu le cas…

One of the best devices for those/ seniors, with compromised visual acuity and difficulty seeing things at distances beyond 100 meters to about 500 meters and beyond, this is a godsend. Eminently pocketable and so easy to discern objects, sign boards and people at longer distances.

Great monoscope. Easy to use and store. Three stars given as I didn't get the distance magnification I thought I would. But you get what you pay for. Overall a good piece of equipment.
