Thick, comfortable pad is well built and self-inflates quickly but is a little bulky when rolled up
This is a very comfortable sleeping pad. It self inflates very well - the two inch foam provides enough expansion force to pull air in quickly and effectively. Within 5 minutes the pad is about 80% filled, and one quick breath puts in the other 20%. Simple. Or you can wait half an hour and the thing will be completely filled without you even having to blow into it. The snaps are a genius feature that allow quite a bit of versatility when you have more than one pad. Seems to be well built - the shell is bonded to the foam along almost its entire surface, save for the dime-sized depressions, which are actually useful to indicate if you've over-inflated it (the holes will bulge if you have). There are two downsides: the size of the pad when packed up (it's much bulkier and heavier than a 1 inch thickness pad) and the amount of effort required to roll it up (which is certainly doable but is much more difficult than a 1 inch thickness pad). I found that the best way to do it is to roll it up, leave it uncorked and then lean on it to get as much air out as possible, then cork it, unroll it, roll it back up (this time much more tightly because there is less air), near the end uncorking it again to let the air that you've managed to push to the end to come out, then cork it. It ends up as tightly rolled as you'll get it without herculean efforts although it does take a minute or two longer, and in the end, it's still quite a bit more bulky than would be ideal (and it's going to weigh the same regardless of how tightly you manage to pack it).UPDATE: I used three of these pads for myself and kids on a two month trip and they worked PERFECTLY. None of them failed in any way and still look and function as perfectly as when we first got them. If I could give this item 6 stars I would!

Great till the "O" ring came loose
I have used this on two outings since I purchased it. It feels great to sleep on, Insulates from the cold ground well, and is a nice cushion. My complaint is that when I tried rolling it up to head out this evening, I could not close the valve. Upon closer inspection, it appears the rubber "o" ring has become displaced. Needless to say, this makes sealing the valve pretty much impossible, which in turn makes it less functional than it should be.UPDATE:Eventually, I used duct tape to keep it closed enough to get it in the bag. I packed additional duct tape to use until I could get back home. When I got to the campsite, apparently the duct tape had adhered to the protruding O-ring, and it re-seated, allowing the mat to function correctly. I also want to note that the company contacted me immediately after my review and reminded me that the mat has a 1 year warranty, and offered to send me a replacement. Since the company was so responsible, the pad is functioning again, and it IS very comfortable, I'm revising my review to four stars.

SUPER comfy! SNAPS ARE KEY - put FOUR together (2 on top, 2 on bottom) to USE AS A FULL-SIZE MATTRESS ON A LOFT BED!
These things are AWESOME!! I didn't actually buy them for camping or even for traveling (though I think I may replace the Aerobed my daughter uses when we stay with family with this), but instead to use as an actual mattress for my daughter's new loft bed. I didn't feel like spending $400 on a 6-inch mattress from PBteen, and 6-inch mattresses are hard to find around us (I tried Mattress Firm and Mattress Warehouse, and I couldn't even ORDER them there!). So I bought two of these at first so that I could snap them together side-by-side and use them as a full-size mattress, and even though that was really comfortable, I wasn't sure if it would be comfortable ENOUGH to be used on a daily basis....So I bought two more and snapped them together in the middle, and then I stacked them on top of the first two, and what was REALLY cool about THESE is that I could ALSO snap the ones on TOP to the ones on the BOTTOM along the outer edges, so that FOUR mattresses could be snapped all together so that none of them can shift or slide - now how COOL is THAT?? Obviously that would be great for camping, but it works great to REPLACE A REGULAR MATTRESS! (at least on my daughter's bed - I'm not sure about two adults on it long-term, but I'm definitely comfortable lying down on it and sleeping with my daughter for a while when I put her to bed every night) I put a fluffy mattress topper (Duck & Goose brand, bought here on Amazon - also awesome) on top of these, just to make it all SUPER comfortable for daily use, and it IS - DEFINITELY will NOT need to buy her a pricey regular mattress now! (and the important thing is that, with stacking these 2-inch pads PLUS a 2-inch mattress topper, it ends up being a 6-inch "mattress", which is what I needed!)

Luxurious and Robust
I didn't buy this for backpacking; there are other products for that use. I wanted something luxurious and rugged. This is like a 'sleep number' mattress; make it as firm or soft as you like and it'll be there for you. The stuff sack is sized for two options. If you fold the mattress in half the long way and snap one side to the other and roll it up with 'Lump of Coal to Diamond' pressure, you can fit it into the stuff sack and end up with a bundle about half the length. If you do a quick and easy roll it will slide right into the stuff sack, ready for it's next deployment. The self inflating aspect works well but like boiling water, don't sit and watch it unless you enjoy watching paint dry. Go fish and come back to a mattress ready for fine tuning to your preference with a couple puffs. I haven't tried this but it looks like it is possible to snap these units together to make a Queen sized mattress (or more onto that for a kinky-King mattress) It's both lux and robust and will take plenty of abuse.

More Than What I Had Hoped For
I wasn't sure this was going to be what I was hoping for, but it turned out to be even more!! Very pleasantly surprised!

First use after upacking - you'll think it's too thin on first setting this up....but it's not.....
This is a great self-inflating sleeping mat. If you're like me, and wondering why it's so thin after the first roll-out, then follow these instructions for a great initial-inflate -1. Open the packaging and roll out the mat2. Un-screw the air-valve - you'll hear air being sucked in for a while, and then it'll begin to quieten down3. Leave the mat unrolled, with the air valve open, for around 15 minutes - it'll self-inflate to some degree on it's own4. After around 15 minutes, you'll begin to see some proper form in the mat internal foam structure5. Close the air-valve6. *Lightly* roll the mat up - it'll be fairly bulky as we don't want to release any air7. When you get to one end of the roll-up, bounce the roll a little - we're wanting to loosen any foam that's become compressed during shipping8. Once you've rolled it one way, lay it flat again and then roll if loosely from the other end too - with a light bounce at that end as well.9. Roll the mat out flat again10. Open the air valve.11. You will hear lots of air being sucked in again at this point, as the newly expanded/loosened foam now wants to suck in more air than beforehand12. Leave the mat for a while, and repeat the above as required.13. Top up with some manual blown-air if required, once you've reached full natural-expansion.14. Doing the initial fill after unpacking using the above process will avoid having to manually blow lots of moist air into the mat on first-fill. The life of the mat will be much improved if we keep the amount of moisture-laden air that's injected into the foam to a minimum.Hope this helps - I'm more than happy with this mat, and the press-stud arrangement means I can join extra mats on the side or even on top of each other if required. I can't wait for the camping season to start!

Amazing pad.
Used on a hiking trip and wild camping, I have chosen this sleeping mattress because of its colour and because it's a few inches larger than the usual ones... self inflates in less than 5 minutes but if you want the sleeping pad rock hard you can blow 3-4 times into the valve.I'm 5.8 94kg and when I slept out there in the wild I didn't feel the floor which for me is amazing I'm really happy.Another point I want to mention is good isolation from the cold floor between me the sleeping bag and sleeping mattress I didn't use anything else to retain the heat.. 5 stars. When I was doing wild camping I damaged the pad by accident making 1 inch slash but got it sorted in the middle of nowhere by simply using gorilla tape.. and didn't loose any air...

Excellent - This mat is the one to get.
At this competitive price point, at 1.6kg these Mats are really good. When you first unroll it open the valve and allow it to inflate and this can take about 20 to 30 minutes then close the valve. Even after this when I opened the valve again I could hear more air being sucked in. The thickness of the Mat is advertised at 5cm and you actually get 5cm. The Mats can be connected together along the sides with the poppers to join two together or they can be stacked to provide 10cm of comfort (go and check how much a 10cm Mat costs) these really are excellent value for money. The generous bags allow you to roll them up relatively loose for storage if you haven't got space to store them open and flat. They roll up really tight for travelling and I even insist on taking mine backpacking or wild camping because they are so comfortable to sleep on, it makes all the difference.I bought five in the end because the wife insisted on two stacked together for her!! Who said camping is cheap? well these Mats will keep your money where it belongs.

Just what I was looking for!
I needed a mat for my son's school trip. This is perfect! It self inflates is extremely light weight and is easy to put away into the bag it comes with. I would recommend following the instructions for first time inflation. It's very comfortable and is 5 cm thick. Another good feature is that it can be attached to other mats to create a double or king size mat. Well worth the money and quick delivery.

Don’t get excited about self inflate
The self inflate function is useless. You end up blowing the air in. What’s worse is that it’s incredibly hard to flatten this mattress after use because of this feature... it keeps trying to suck the air you just squeezed out back in. Other than that, OK to sleep on.

Loses air and can only pump with lungs.
As the headline says, the mat loses enough air in 4 hours that you wake up in the middle of the night basically sleeping on the floor. I bought 2 of these and both behaved exactly the same. The only way to pump this thing is by breathing ino it, the mouth piece just won't let any pumps fit. The only reason it's a 2 star not a 1 is that once it's pumped up it's quite comfortable for 2/3 hours. So if that's how long you plan on using it, it will do.

Would be fine if it wasn't faulty
I bought two of these and one has had a fault on the first use. It developed a huge lump of air which I suspect is the material detaching itself from the foam inside. Now half of the mat is a mobile lump of air that moves around. I gave it two stars only because the second mat is still holding out.Product would work fine if quality control was up to standard...

Works great, stays inflated and vert comfy.
Really happy with this purchase as so many others have been too. Delivered really quickly, the mat comes in a nice branded box with its own storage bag. I also liked that the supplier sent me the instructions in pdf before it arrived. It was unrolled and inflated in just a couple of minutes with absolute ease. It's so good not needing a pump/hairdryer etc. The mat has remained virtually at the same level for a week now, as my nine year old insists he spends lockdown doing his schoolwork on it.It does sit quite low to the ground, but I've found it really comfortable and much prefer it to the traditional lumpy airbeds I've been used to. I'm really happy to award this five stars.

Good for young visitors
remarkably supportive if firm. It filled up and deflated as per instructions, and will be useful as a spare bed for young visitors, rather than the 85 yr old that used it on this occasion" Narrower than I am used to, but during three nights, I slept well. I can recommend it as a temporary bed for a visitor, or for camping, since it folds up neatly into a bag for ease of carrying.

Light mattress for camping
Quite a decent product for the price. We gave it a try for a few night before taking to camping, but one was not properly inflating (discovered after a small hole in material) and were keep coming off while moving. They are good if used individual, but not as great to conect. Initially very compact, but once used hard to get that small again.

2 great 1 okay
Bought 3 of these for family camping, open them up upon arrival and let them self inflate for a while then blow in extra air (mouth or pump) lovely and comfy. Unfortunately one slowly deflates over a couple of days so needs re-inflating the other two are marvellous though. Haven't marked the deflating one so its pot luck every trip

Heavy but comfy
Though they are a bit heavy, my husband and I both prefer them to the smaller types that cut down on mat size to cut the weight down. These are comfortable, we try not to fully inflate them, just blow them up the rest of the way with your mouth and don't over-inflate.

Air bed
Very quick delivery and from emails iv had very good customer service and feel like the company really hope im happy with my purchase.not had a chance to use this for a full night, after a failed attempt at camping but blown up and laid on in house and seems very comfy looking forward to getting out and trying as a lot better quality than my previous air bed at a good price not the smallest item when packed away but a small price to pay of it gives me a decent sleep!

Position when it's inflating is important.
Seems excellent. We found it best to have it on its side (making sure it's straight) while it inflates - if it's bent it will stop inflating but you can hear it drawing the air in.

Great mat!
Great, comfy mat. I'm really fussy when it comes to these but this one was a great find. Easy to inflate, just needed a few puffs to get it fully inflated as I like it quite firm. Had a great sleep on it when camping and felt it kept the cold at bay as well. Easy to deflate and pack away too. Not the smallest pack size, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.
