Perfect for my home office.
I reviewed this one time but it never showed up on Amazon. This is a very good product. I'm using it on a hard vinyl composition tile floor. It is plenty big enough for a rolling office chair, lays perfectly flat and is hardly noticeable. The people who complained about not being able to get it to lay flat obviously can't or won't follow directions and as far as it being hard to roll out, I'm 75 years old with physical limitations and had no problem on my own. It's just what I was looking for. Thanks! Hugh

Great Product
This mat was the perfect thing for our home office. It flat and sturdy and works great on our wood flooring. It came packaged very well. It was also packaged flat (not rolled up) which was wonderful.

Great on Hardwood Floors!
When this package first arrived, I feared the worst. It came shipped rolled up and I worried about ripples on it and trouble getting it to flatten out. Luckily, my fears were (mostly) unfounded. The mat flattened pretty nicely when I placed heavy books all over it. In fact, it was usable within two hours of doing so. It did come with a pretty intense smell when first removed from box, but again that has all but gone away and do not even notice. Fast forward and I am pretty pleased with this mat. I use it on a hardwood floor and it is near invisible. My chair rolls smoothly over it with no resistance. So what warrants 4 instead of 5 stars? Unfortunately, it never has completely smoothed out without slight ripples due to it being rolled. Again, on my wood floor, you cannot even see them unless you look close, but I am sure on other surfaces like carpet, this would stand out greater. Despite the fact that I gave it 4 stars out of 5, I would definitely recommend this mat. I am happy with my purchase and would buy again.

Perfect size, but still has huge waves & wrinkles after 2.5 weeks
I picked this floor protector, because I need a large square or rectangle, withough the 'tab' so many shapes include. It covers the wide wooden floor under my desk, but also overlaps onto the area rug behind, to protect all from the extremely heavy 'big/tall man' office chair I use. PROBLEM: look at the pic... this was taken today, 16 DAYS AFTER I unpacked and laid the protector down on my living room floor, with weights around the sides. Look at all the waves/wrinkles it still has. It was not only wrapped incredibly tight in the box, but the innermost 'curve' was actually bent into a hard angle. After 4 days of the wrinkles barely reducing, I decided to see if I could live with it...and I barely can. BUT, having had serious spinal surgery 7 weeks ago, I'm just not up to wrestling this thing back into the box and wrestling it out to my car for an Amazon return. In another month or so...after I am cleared to start bending/twisting/lifting with move vigor, I will definitely throw this out, and chalk it up to a bad mistake. Don't make the same mistake yourself...stay away from this inferior product.

Good product.
Other than the box being beat up on one end the mat was undamaged. Easy to unroll, weighed the corners down as instructed and after a day it's fine. Chair rolls easily and it certainly protects my floor which was showing signs of damage from the chair wheels. Definitely worth the money and worth owning.

Try a different one
If you're looking for a larger chair mat (e.g. the 48" x 60"), try a different one. I've tried this one for you, and like other reviews, it's impossible to get flat. They rolled it the wrong way in the packaging, so the sides are curled inwards when it's facing upwards on the floor. I applied heat and pressed it under a heavy rug for over a week, but it quickly returned to its curled form. The sides are also surprisingly sharp; I've cut myself bumping into them.

It's scary how easily it slides
I purchased 30x48 floor mat had it for 4 months. I find that for a chair with rolling casters, 30" is too narrow. I recommend 36" width (not this brand!) It did ship flat. I do not know why it's so important though. I had another mat shipped rolled up and was able to use it right away (Matladin upgraded heavy duty). I just unrolled and laid it with the edges curled down and put the chair on. On the next day it became completely flat. Marvelux mat is thin (probably twice thinner than Matladin ), slippery, moves a lot and, as a result, damaged my floor. I also have to be careful how to step on it or it would slide. It's scary how easily it slides. Matladin mat hasn't moved a bit since it replaced Marvelux in my office, like it's glued to the floor. Matladin doesn't take nearly as much effort for me to move around and roll the chair as Marvelux. Same chair. I am guessing that's another reason the floor under the mat was damaged when I had Marvelux. One of the reviews suggests to use it as craft mat. It's probably the best use for Marvelux. I do not see it as a floor protector: it damages the floor and can cause an injury. To sum it up: Pros: - can be used as a craft mat - provides some sort of exercise due to the effort it takes to move around in a rolling chair Cons: - doesn't stay in place (I tried both sides with the same result) - can cause an injury; it moves next second you step on it and it moves fast! - hard to move around and roll the chair, that extra pressure - more wear and tear on the chair and the floor. I do not recommend it.
