Who could have predicted during the Middle Ages that fruitcake would be a controversial item in the 20th and 21st centuries ? Count me as a fruitcake aficionado -- for me Christmas is not Christmas without one. I purchase one and keep it frozen until Christmas Eve (at the earliest) and during the following days treat myself to a slice for breakfast. That said, there are many inferior and bland fruitcakes on the market than superior ones. For years I ordered very good to excellent fruitcakes from various abbeys in the US but having received a diagnosis of diabetes, that stopped -- I thought, with regret, for the rest of my life, but a few years ago I discovered this sugar-free fruit cake on Amazon and without great expectations ordered one. It was astonishingly delicious, and I have ordered one every year since then. It is not a low-calorie food, but for those, especially diabetics, who must watch their intake of sugars, this is a safe treat. This is not an INexpensive product, but I permit myself to splurge once a year.

This cake was really good. I was kind of skeptical about ordering a cake online. This cake was actually amazing. I ordered it for a friend's birthday who happens to be diabetic and carrot cake is his favorite. We were all surprised, this cake was wonderful. It did not affect his blood sugar at all. A little pricey, but well worth it.

This is the first time that I have ever bought anything sugar free. I'm satisfied with it. It tastes good enough. I just wish that it weren't so expensive.

This is a delicious cake! It's diabetes safe but is not Keto due to the Maltitol. I like that the walnuts are minced very small but would prefer if it didn't have them. I'll need to try some of the others they have but I'll definitely buy again.

My husband says he can't believe it's sugar free. Delicious!!

The cake was mushy, had some nuts and a few pieces of candied fruit on top of cake. After a few bites of the cake we trashed it.

First time I ordered this cake which is very expensive but it was worth the experience chocolate truffle dark chocolate cake you better can't say the same for the pumpkin cheesecake that arrived non-edible and customer service really really terrible I won't don't think I'll ever order again if I'm not refunded for the pumpkin cheesecake experience
