I'm amazed with this Wella Professionals ULTIMATE SMOOTH Intense Mask. I know that's a word that's thrown around a lot nowadays, but after just one use, I am genuinely thrilled with the results. I've tried many masks, and most of them work for about half a day, and then the frizz starts again, or the shine wears off. It's days later, and my hair is still enjoying the benefits of this creamy mask.This very large tub of mask was delivered with a seal to keep the contents from leaking, and when I first opened the container, I was less than thrilled with the scent. I found it kind of cloying, which isn't typical of Wella hair products. I bucked up, though, and applied this to my shampooed hair while I was still in the shower. I used about a tablespoon of the mask and distributed it from roots to ends, realizing at that point that the awful scent had become wonderful. It has a kind of deep amber spice scent that is delightful in a steamy shower. I put on a plastic shower cap and let it sit for about 10 minutes, rinsing with lukewarm water before letting it air dry. Holy moly! My hair was so shiny and soft after I used this that I couldn't stop touching it. Wow! It smelled great, too!Now, I am not a rich person, and the price of this mask is high. That said, the quality is top-notch. I find that a little of this hydrating mask goes a long way, and this VERY large tub will last me some months, so I think it's ultimately worth the cost. As a Vine reviewer, I've tried many hair products, and price and effectiveness don't always line up. This is a case of "you get what you pay for". This mask is the real deal, and I recommend it even at its full price. It's amazing.

I've used this mask twice so far and each time I am mesmerized by how my hair smells afterwards, it smells that good. Does it make my hair soft and shiny? Yes, it does. Is it as obvious as the before/after pics in the ad page? No. Would I spend $72 for this mask? Nope, but then I wouldn't spend $72 on any home hair treatment. It came in a box and the container had a sealed foil cover. What is lacking is good instructions on either the box or jar. How much should I use? How often should I use it? Do I apply to my roots, too, or only the lengths? There is just a series of 4 step pics that are really basic. I'm going to use the rest of this big jar and have only the memory of that amazing smell unless they lower the price by half.

Just WOW! I am honestly so impressed with the results of this hair mask. I am no stranger to Wella products and this one, like the others that I have used, does not disappoint. It's a solid overall mask to help with shine, softness and frizz reduction. I have naturally curly hair that is fairly long and falls below my shoulders. It's thick and sometimes unruly due to the curl and the texture. I have been using this mask once a week. I apply the mask fresh out of the shower after shampooing and conditioning my hair. With this mask, a little goes a long way for me. I apply several tablespoons to my hair and comb it through for even distribution. I usually then put my hair into a bun and leave the mask in for several hours. I then wash out the mask and let my hair airdry. It leaves my hair soft and shiny with much less frizz. I really like that this mask doesn't leave behind a weighted feel to my hair. The mask has is somewhat thick and has a faint scent. I find that the mask results last for several days. As a dog mom I appreciate that this product is not tested on animals. I think the price of this mask is comparable to other high end hair products and since a little goes a long way, I think it's reasonable. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this mask that delivers a smooth, shiny, look and feel to my hair.

As I get older, my hair is not doing as well. This mask treatment added shine and smoothness to my previously somewhat frizzy locks. It has a lovely scent to it, and it's easy to use after your shampoo. I'm very pleased!

I love the smell. As for the results, it's nothing magical. I don't feel it left my hair especially moisturized to justify the price. For reference, I have type 4 hair.

and I've used A LOT of masks. This one is amazing. I'm sort of mad at it because it isn't cheap, but it is also 100% worth every penny. I got SO MANY compliments after one use - people commenting how how sleek and soft and shiny my hair looked. For my part, I noticed that I didn't need to use as much product as I normally do. About half as much product to get a good, full coverage on my hair. It has great slip to it and left my hair feeling noticeably softer as I was rinsing it, even without a leave-in conditioner. I had fewer fly aways and less frizz. The scent isn't my favorite, but it's not awful and it doesn't linger. I'm obsessed.

The Wella smooth intense mask has a nice gingery smell. The scent doesn't linger after rinsing.. It's not very concentrated and I had to use alot of it. It does have enough slip that it spreads easily. I also appreciate that it rinses out quickly.For my hair type (Long, thick, high density, 3A curls, generally healthy) it wasn't the best works in a pinch. I say this is on par with a regular conditioner.Overall while not right for me, I think it may work best on thin fine hair.
