I couldn't believe the low price of this electric bike. I've already had 5 electric bikes for which I paid much, much more for, so I read the specs and reviewed the pictures carefully before purchasing. Everything looked good. The bike came as well packed, if not a little better, than the other bikes and was straight forward to assemble. The bike components like brakes, tires, and shifters are standard so most bike shops should be able to adjust and service them without issue. I like that it came with substantial back luggage rack and fenders. The bike quality is on par with bikes costing 5 times as much. I took the bike to Leadville, CO, which is at 10,000 feet elevation and tested it on the Mineral Belt bike trail - a 12 mile paved trail with some moderately steep climbs and it did just fine. With a fully charged battery the range was 33 miles in the mountains. I assume the range would be significantly more on flat ground. Typical of these types of electric bikes, the control panel LED shows a bar that indicates remaining battery life and it takes some experience with these to know just how much battery you actually have left, especially when putting a good load on the battery like climbing inclines. A nice feature of this controller is when the battery gets too low, the battery indicator starts flashing to let you know the battery really needs to be recharged. That is important as discharging the battery to a total shut off is not good for battery life. Recharging from this state took 4-5 hours. Both my nephew and grandson (14) who had never ridden an electric bike before had no problem getting used to it. It handles very well. I rate the seller high on customer service. The bike accidently fell over when parked and the controller LED panel hit something and cracked. I contacted the seller and they were very prompt at sending me a new controller at no charge even though I offered to pay for it. Replacing it was simple: unplug the electric cable, remove the old one, clamp the new one to the handlebar and plug in the cable. I look forward to many years of enjoyable use with this bike.

I had an operator error assembling and Funhang was very quick to respond and help.When assembling, the front axle has two plastic plugs that need to be removed. Images show what it looks like and the plugs. I took it to a local bike shop and the guy popped them right out.Just be aware, the directions don’t look as clear.So far the bike is fantastic!It’s fast and powerful. Climbs the hill at our house without concern.The pedal assist kicks right in and the throttle only is great!Heavy bike. But feels solid and I really like it.I chose this because of a few video reviews of Funhang. The 48v battery is about power and it has a lot.Haven’t tested the range yet.

This is a really nice bike, except for the plastic fenders. It is made out of quality material and rides very well. I did pay a handy man to put the bike together for me and their video for setup is 5 stars. Very easy to follow. As with most, I changed the seat out for a more comfortable ride. I had to contact the seller regarding the mileage. They advertise up to 50 miles per charge. That is not a true description. I rode my bike in pedal assist - 1 and maintained a 15 mph speed. The battery only allowed for me to reach a little over 25 miles. I won't return the bike, but I would not have bought it if I had known it would only allow me to ride for 25 miles on a single charge.I do give kudos to the customer service; they responded very quickly and gave me many suggestions on how to reach the most mileage possible, which in my case is only 25 miles per charge but I did appreciate them responding back to me.If you are looking for a good price in an ebike and the 25 miles per charge is not a tie breaker, it's a great value for the price.

EXHILARATING!!Structure: It took about an hour or to assemble. My son put it together for me and he didn't have any problems. Although he also has an e-bike and convinced me to buy one.The bike is very sturdy and provides for a smooth ride. It weighs 63lbs so it's a bit heavy to lift onto a hitch if you're someone like me without a lot of upper body strength. I consider the weight a plus overall because it does make the ride smooth and comfortable. I changed the seat and will update the dinky little light and reflectors.The styling is very nice. I'm short at 5'3" so I appreciate the step-thru design and I like the color options and I appreciate the inline battery which centers the weight of the ride. I chose blue and I really like it. I'm NOT a fan of the HUGE lettering of "FUNHANG" on the frame and I thought it might be stenciled so I could remove it but its really painted on so I'm stuck with it unless I paint over the entire bike. It'd be better if it was a cool stylish logo rather than big lettering on the bike.Riding; The operation is smooth and easy to operate. There is some inconsistency with pedal-assist to full throttle but it doesn't really detract from the full experience considering the price and affordability. I also really like the cruise-control option. The torque is INSANE! It really takes off in an instant which is SO MUCH FUN!. I tested the speed at full throttle and it reliably comes to 21.4 mph which is perfect for my needs. Not to fast to be a danger but it gets me around quite nimbly and efficiently. The brakes operate efficiently and the suspension really makes it a comfortable experience.The battery seems to last a long time. I first tested it on one of the flat local trails and rode it for about 8 miles out and then back. I lost only one bar. But later on a more variable terrain with hills for 11 miles and back I lost almost 3 bars. So, depending on the terrain, your desired speed, weight, etc. it still appears to be a reliable commuting experience.I would recommend it for the affordability and overall riding experience. I honestly felt like a kid again and its become my newest favorite toy.
