Best portable AC I've ever used
I've had a couple portable AC units that I've either owned or rented from my apartment and while necessary I've hated them all. They were all so unpleasantly loud and many required constant draining. This however, is a delight! It cools my 700sqft apartment quite well. It's significantly quieter than other portable AC I've owned and also the pitch of the sound is not unpleasant and very effectively blocked by noise cancelling headphones. The app works well and makes it easy to control from anywhere (sometimes I want to turn it on during my commute if the day was hotter than I expected, which I can!).My only issue was not caused by this unit, which is that my apartment AC port does not fit the standard sized hose of this device. However, I was able to grab a step-down duct from a hardware store and that settled things perfectly and I've noticed no performance issues from needing to step down the end of the exhaust hose.

Excellent products
What can I say except wow! I received the AC today, a friend helped me install it. No problems at all. It is 100% better than my old AC,, cooler, smaller, very sleek an d quieter. What a gem! I live in Northern Arizona and it's in the mid 90s, too much for my 3 pups. This AC has strong fan and really spreads the cold air around. We are so comfortable and happy. I have 3 Dreo fans and I am very happy with them. When I saw the Dreo name on ACs...well, I looked no further. Thank you for making exceptional products!

Excellent portable AC unit, except it broke 3 weeks later
I've had an portable AC unit before and it was nice. However this Dreo is great.I love how easy it is to place the panels in your window frame and adjust the length to fill the gaps on the long end.The cooling mode is great in that i don't have to drain any water. I guess it self evaporates any condensation. The dehumidifier is an extra bonus. I'm able to remove the humidity to some degree and the unit still blows cold air. However, in this mode, they recommend using the drain hose and drain the water to a container. Depending where the unit is, you may be able to place the drain hose leading outside of the house.I wouldn't exactly call it quiet, but it's not so bad either. My dogs and I are able to sleep through the fan/compressor noise.I don't use the wireless remote really because the Android app has controls and visual feedback. You can adjust the temperature setting and fan speed from the app. It shows what mode it is in, current temperature, though i believe it shows the temperature around the unit itself, not the actual room ambient temperature. So it's kind of misleading. Maybe if it had a remote temperature sensor like how my Ecobee thermostat has, then it would be even a better AC unit. Dreo, I hope you're reading this!It shows daily or monthly usage time. Scheduler to turn on/off the unit at specific times and period of time to start and stop. The specs say it's 1500watts. I'm using a power monitoring plug and so far I haven't seen it go over 1100watts. We'll at least in the last 3 weeks of use. So the Dreo AC stopped cooling. It took almost an hour wondering why i could not cool my room. Then i realized i can hear the compressor turn on, then maybe 10 seconds or so later it would turn off. I was monitoring the power and i could see it was drawing about 1100watts, then it would slowing rise to 1200-1300, then i could hear the compressor start working harder, then it would shut off. The power meter shows it shot up to 1600+watts.I chatted with Amazon support and they had me return the unit. Unfortunately they didn't have a replacement so i got a full refund.I ended up buying the Dreo 12,000 BTU unit which was about $30 more than the 10,000 BTU. it too, only draws ~1100 watts or slightly less. So far the new Dreo has been working great.

Trust me, you’ll love this A/C if you’re not sure about spending the dough
Ok peeps, I hardly write reviews but I’m really impressed with this purchase! I live in So Cal - not really big needy on A/C, but yes summers are getting more humid than when I was a kid. Pair that with living in a 100 yr old building without central air (but pooled electric bill!) and I decided this was the year for shopping in this dept.I did a LOT a research, read a lot of reviews, parsed the pros & cons, and especially the prices. I wanted a unit that people rated the remote control & cooling as pros, I wanted to be able to control with an app when not home (to keep cat safely cool.) While there was a unit that was *slightly* better than this, the price on this unit made it a clear winner. When it arrived (thanks Amazon driver for bringing the box up the elevator to my door!!) all I had to do was lift the outer box off the styrofoam/particle board base, assemble the window slats and go! The remote sticks magnetically to the top of the unit, great because I use the app more often. It cools so quickly and covers a lot of sq ft!!!I love the fact that I can also use all the same functions on the front of the unit, if I’m running out the door, I can just tap it. 3 fan speeds + auto on the A/C, so there’s plenty of options. I may even try the dehumidifier if the traditional San Diego June gloom goes further into July!I don’t find it particularly loud, and I live in a corner studio. I’m used to it, it has become like a louder white noise. Can still watch tv and talk on the phone just fine.Super portable: I know it’ll roll into my closet just fine for storage.Bonus: about 2 months after I started using it, I realized I didn’t have the drainage hose to use with the dehumidifier function. I contacted DREO customer service - thru the app! Even the manual is available thru the app, so you can just recycle that paperwork! I asked if they could give me the dimension of the hose so I could buy a new one at my hardware store. Tina w their customer service had one at my door 3 business days later at no charge!!This is a really good product, I know it’ll last. I put it on a 3rd party payment plan and am so happy I splurged on this (it was a splurge in that I’m taking a few months to pay for it.)Trust my research, my frugal nature, and my recommendation here, you won’t be let down!
