This is the right stuff. Hard to tell if it's the thick, pasty stuff which has the works. Does it taste great? Well it's not a brownie. It's fine and it works well. I had damage to a vagal nerve during radiation for a brain tumor and now the top flap of my esophagus doesn't close and while I watch what I eat and avoid acid food, sometimes I don't know what's in something I'm served until after and this is a lifesaver. NOTHING works so well. It's cheap in the UK. Expensive ordering from the USA but the efficacy is what I need. UK Gaviscon Advance contains a significantly higher concentration of sodium alginate (derived from seaweed/algae) compared to US versions. That's what works

I was hesitant to buy this at first because it appeared to be a knock-off based on the picture of the label of this product called "Gav", but it's not. I was pleasantly surprised that it is an authentic Gaviscon product and at a much better price-point than the smaller bottles! Shake well before using because some separation may occur. Product is thick, like Elmer's glue and has an anise seed taste that is not awful, kind of nice, but mostly an acquired taste. But boy, this stuff works well! I have LPR and I take 2 teaspoons after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed. It really helps against reflux and is keeping my stomach acid in my stomach, where it belongs, so my esophagus can heal. This is a great product!!!

I’ve struggled with nighttime reflux for a long time and was looking for something that worked better for me than standard antacids. After trying this UK version of Gaviscon Advance, I noticed a significant difference in how I felt at night. What stood out to me is the thicker consistency compared to other versions I’ve tried. It seems to form a noticeable barrier after taking it, which for me helped reduce discomfort when lying down. Since using this, I’ve been able to sleep more comfortably and wake up less often due to reflux symptoms. While everyone’s experience may be different, this has been a worthwhile option for me and something I plan to keep on hand.

Great product. Atrocious price! I cannot take anything else on market. I'll keep looking but until then.. I must buy this at a high cost so I won't get sick.

If you have silent reflux, this is a must. I know it's expensive but this will help clear up an irritated esophagus. My gastro suggested this AFTER I told him I discovered it via a group on FaceBook. "Oh, yeah. I have patients that use this and have great results." Well DUH! Why didn't he tell me about it? I suspect he wanted me to take his Rx for the Nexium, which I rejected for various reason.

About the only thing that works for me. Would ge nice if it was sold retail in the US so it was a little less expensive but to me it’s worth it.
