The installation instructions (which I really didn't need, seeing that this rod is just like so many others) are entirely misleading.They instruct to, first of all, unscrew the two pieces until the total length is 2 inches longer than the space you are installing it into.Then, you are instructed to "compress" the rod (shows a drawing of one end against the left wall, while a hand is pushing the other end leftward, in order to "compress", or shorten the rod until it will fit into the designated space).Then, when the rod is in place, you are instructing to end "compression", letting the spring tension do the work of keeping the rod in place.I followed the written and drawn instructions to the letter, and found that the rod would NOT "compress", no matter how hard I tried. I'm very strong, from having worked physical jobs in construction for many years, so as hard as I tried, "compressing" the rod was not possible.For fear of breaking the internal components, I gave up on my attempts to "compress" the rod by force. I then used the technique by which every other similar shower curtain rod I've installed was successfully completed. I simply screwed/unscrewed the two rod pieces until the rod was just short enough to position between the walls, then unscrewed the two rod pieces (one slides inside the other) until the rod ends were pushed tightly against both walls, so that no amount of abuse would cause it to fall.Easy-peasy, as long as you are smart enough to ignore the misleading instructions.

want to damage the wall. We have them in our kitchen where there are really no anchoring points for traditional rods. It is basically a really nice shower curtain rod that has the ability to adjust to large widths. The nickel has a nice finish that looks metallic. Once installed they are sturdy enough to throw open the curtains on a daily basis without them crashing down. The installation process just involves taking the endcap off, sliding the curtain on, and twisting one end until it maintains tension on the window frame.I highly recommend this product.

The blinds in our apartment don’t block the sun and with HOA, can’t drill a curtain rod so an alternative was the tension rod. BEST OPTION! It protects the wall and holds up a blackout curtain which has some weight to it especially for a large window. Easy to install. My fiancé helped me with holding one side as it is a large window. You screw one size of the rod until it has enough tension on the wall. No issues thus far.

My husband bought me some rinky $7 curtain rod and it was skinny, flimsy, and the break between the 2 rods had a giant bump, making it impossible to use. I returned that sucker and ordered this rod myself. Like they say, if you want it done right, do it yourself...This rod is worth it's weight in gold! It's thick (that's what she said), sturdy, and the curtain slides on it like a kid covered in soap going down a slip-and-slide in the dead heat of summer. Just a thing of beauty.

I purchased this rod to hang curtains in my living room. The curtains are a heavy material to block the light and I was concerned that the rod may slip or completely fall. It’s been over a week and I manually pull the curtains open and close and no problems. The rod is holding firm. I’m very happy with my purchase.

This is a spring loaded curtain rod, it is recommended though it whatever you put it up were there be in the hallway or in the doorway did you measure the area? Did you want to put it up in.It is strong it is durable and it will stay up to where you need to be. This is great for a bedroom family room somewhere where you want to cut off eye sight to that part of the house provides privacy and yet letting you pull that area down as well.

I used this curtain rod to put up lace curtains in my garden window. Worked perfectly for the purpose.

I bought these to hang some long blackout curtains in my bedroom. The curtains are heavy so I was worried they might not stay up. It's been a couple months & there still holding strong❣️If your on the fence about buying it the price is right so just go for it. 😊

I used this for a 24 inch wide closet opening. The room is really small so adding another door opening into the space limited things, so I decided to hang a boho curtain over the opening instead. Looks fabulous and the rod is super sturdy and has a nice finish.
