So much fun! No glitches and so pretty.
I purchased this on Xbox One.id Software has done it again. I love Doom and Wolfenstein and Rage 2 looks/feels like a sibling to them. It has such well done features from some of my favorite games. Below are some aspects included and other games they are similar to.- Focus (detective vision from Arkham games)- Movement, guns and people exploding from being punched (Doom)- Abilities (Destiny)- Cyber dudes (Wolfenstein)- Wasteland enemies, world and vehicular combat (Mad Max)It definitely feels like a Mad Max game with the feel of Doom which I love. The graphics are gorgeous and I have had no glitches at all so far. The game runs silky smooth during the frenetic fights with fire, lead and guts flying everywhere. My one gripe is that the menu is so slow when switching tabs. Hopefully it'll be patched soon. All in all, this is an amazing game. Far far better and more fun than the Halo games, COD etc, Overwatch, Borderlands and Crackdown. Definitely recommended.

I want to give it five starts but the dramamine hasn't kicked in yet
TL;DR - Wicked fun, minus the motion sickness.Ok, so I played and LOVED the original Rage. I bought Rage 2 and finally wanted to sink my teeth into it. There's a lot of improvements (if you want to call them that) over the first one - it feels slightly more arcade-ey with the powerups and whatnot, but still with a decent FPS core with RPG/character building elements. However, I can't give it five stars yet. Why?Because I can't play it for more than 30 minutes without experiencing the worst motion sickness since Bioshock 2. :(I think it has to do with the FOV (field of view) in the game. Now, the nice thing is there are options to change the FOV so it's suitable for your setup. I sit about 10 feet from a 65" screen, and still haven't found a FOV that works. When I do want to play, I pop a Dramamine, wait 15 minutes, and get a good 2-3 hours in, before I feel the need to nap (thanks, Dramamine! Yes, there are non-drowsy ones out there now, but I've found they don't work as well as The Good Stuff™).I do honestly enjoy the game, the story isn't much but there's a lot of side-quest content, customization, upgrades, and just general fun fast-paced carnage that make this game a real delight. I feel that since I picked it up on sale looooong after its release, I'll end up paying full price for the game with all the dramamine I'll end up having to buy before I get to the end. It's worth it, though. :)

Enjoyable game
Played the first, liked the first, played the second, liked the second. Basically the same as the first but a bit bigger. Feels like they missed a few things and could have had a bigger/longer story arc but overall the game runs well with a slight audio bug. I'll try the plus play through to amp it up and we'll see if it's even better. Where else can you see raiders wearing butt plug tails? Come on, ya know you want to play now. It can't be unseen.

Just “okay”
This game has a lot of cool ideas that never come together to make the game anything more than just an “okay” game. You get all these great powers and you never need to use them because you can just headshot everyone and kill them quicker. The driving is fine but it gets tedious. After the first few missions everything gets really repetitive. The game looks great and the guns and abilities feel good to use but it never comes together to be anything worth writing home about.

AWESOME. CHALLENGING.
About 5 hrs into this game. I think it's awesome! Fyi. I loved Rage. I don't particularly like borderlands, Doom is awesome. It can be very challenging at times and I have to figure out how to make it work. I'm not sure how its longevity will hold up, but for now I'm very entertained. Playing on xbox one x in 4k looks really good.

Glitchy
This game must have been burned. Glitchy and freezes. Yet brand new... hmm.

Hold you over until Borderlands 3
If you’ve never played the first Rage, the easiest way to describe the series is ‘generic Borderlands’. The games are far more similar than they are different, but that’s not to say if you like Borderlands, you’ll like Rage (2).Without dragging on, the biggest difference between Rage and Borderlands are: controls are not quite as tight, story is more generic, graphics aren’t cel shaded (could be good or bad, depending on your preference), and the in-game menus are far clunkier/less intuitive. All of that being said, if you don’t expect it to be Borderlands quality, you will have a fun time until the real deal comes out later this year. Having paid full price for Rage 2, I would say redbox it first, or wait for a sale to pick it up. However, if you liked Rage 1, or just want a borderlands fix, then there are definitely worse games to spend $60 on.
