I'm not worried this is ever going to give out on my. Unless whatever it's hooked up to falls over first. The locking mechanism is always nice too. It's big and heavy so it's not good for general camping or backpacking. But if you are rock climbing it would be excellent. Or doing anything else where it's required that a large amount of weight be supported. Anyway, what you see is what you get. A big A carabiner that can hold 10K pounds. Nice!

This carabiner is quite hefty, in both it's build quality, and its stated rating. It certainly feels heavy duty. It takes a little bit of getting used to but I can operate it just fine now that I've played with it a bit. The finish is nice, its smooth and even. I don't know if I would trust my life to this regardless of how heavy duty it seems. But I have rigged up some pretty serious stuff with this so far and it has held up great. I mostly use this for forestry style work and tree clean up and so far, so good for that. I just wont be hanging from it any time soon.

The weight rating is off the charts (though please check independent testing).One handed opening is easy and reliable. You may need a bit of skill and practice for one finger opening, but I found it very easy. If you have both a finger and a thumb, it will always open it easily.The auto-lock is slick. I haven't been able to jam it and it operates easily and reliably locks on release. It's a very clever design.I have 100 uses for this that don't even require validating the claimed load.

On the heavy side, since it’s steel, but will handle well. Locks smoothly and unlocks with clear,2 step, twist and pull function.

I have taken this carabiner out a few times, and it is a nice piece of equipment. The most noticeable thing about it is that it is big. It is easily the largest locking carabiner in my collection. As far as function goes, it is easy to lock and unlock and has a wide gate that makes loading a rope or belay device a cinch. Overall, I am very happy with this carabiner, and it makes a nice addition to my climbing gear.
